I love the sound, I have two of the HEOS 1. But frequently I have problems with connection thru wifi. I frequently turn off the app, sometimes need to delete and download the app again.

I was fortunate and got these through Adorama. I have never seen them sold new for that cheap! It was a wonderful deal on an amazing speaker. I wish I would have bought enough for the whole house!

I bought the HS7 first then ordered 2HS 1’s love them all, sound on all 3 is amazing, had a few issues with not connecting but restart the Heos and app and all is working fine, love the fact that they are Bluetooth unlike the sonos, my daughter has the sonos and hs said she wishes she had got the heos instead.

This speaker only connects via Bluetooth when it wants to- and it rarely wants to. Super frustrating- it worked yesterday and today it’s like, nah, I’m tired.

If your going to use this as a blue tooth speaker stay far far away. Connects when it wants to. Sound is sub par. Not at all impressed. Have really nice Denon receiver and Blu Ray player thought I couldn't go wrong with the Denon name boy was I wrong.

We have an entire housewife Heos system, three sound bars, three bass, one portable speaker. Sounds are great. We love that we can group everything together so that when we entertain, every location is playing the same music if we wish. Or, each can be separate. The portable speaker has, in my opinion, a significant limitation. In order to get the maximum hours of portable use, the speaker has to remain plugged in full time. The battery drains considerably when not plugged in, even when the speaker is “off”. none of my other portables (Bose, for instance have this limitation - though it is important to know that the Bose cannot be on the same network as my indoor Heos system. If the portable speaker is unplugged for four days, the speaker is no longer portable - the battery is dead and you have to plug it in to use it. I’m dissatisfied with that fact. Indoor, rates a 5. Portable rates a 2 for short battery life and constant battery draining. Overall, our system is a three. We use the portable outside on our deck a great deal. We have to keep it plugged in permanently in order to do so. That’s a hassle for us. Hard to justify that technology in 2018. Soundbar and bass are top notch, we love it. We deal with the portable. (For reference, my Bose Bluetooth - no networking! - has a battery that will stay charged for as long as a month between uses. You may wish to avoid the portable and use Pandora or Spotify off your phone for outdoor use. Would recommend indoor system fully.

I now have all the Heos products (1, 3, 5, 7, soundbar) with the Heos 1 being the latest addition. I have also spent a significant amount of time listening to other "portable" and wireless speakers and the Heos speakers BY FAR put out the best sound. Deeper bass, noticeable mid-range and clear highs. With most speakers at least one of those is missing. The Heos 1 looks good and I recently traveled to Aruba with it in a backpack. Well worth the price and again best quality on the market IMO.

I have two HEOS 1 HS2 speakers. I've bought them for the bathroom, as other HEOS speakers are not suitable for humid places. Being the smallest speaker in the HEOS family, it has some downsides. Regardless of its size, I expected a much better sound. My first HEOS speaker was no. 7 and it's outstanding how it fills the room. No 1 has a metallic sound and although I have placed two in a bathroom (left and right), the sound still doesn't meet my expectations. Trebles are fine but have a narrow-angle. To set up two speakers in a stereo mode with the app was easier than expected. - Led light is dimmable and I find it very cool. - I connected my phone using bluetooth to HEOS 7. This way I am able to listen on HEOS system ANY sound from my phone, may that be a YouTube or any other app. I usually have all rooms connected (that's very easy to change in the HEOS app) and it means the same sound in all rooms. HEOS system is great as it allows connecting existing speakers to HEOS AVR system (7.2 in my case in the living room). - When a computer is in the same WiFi network, I can send any mp3 file to any HEOS speaker in my appartment by selecting "cast to". It works very well, but I wish it would work with apps as well. I have to convert YouTube songs to mp3 in order to save them to disk to be able to play them on HEOS. I wish DENON would finally solve this issue! What worries me: - When using a splashguard (from Go-Pack) you can't charge the speakers on a cable. I am worried if using them without the splashguard is suitable for a bathroom use. - With new updates I have had some difficulties finding speakers not working in the morning for example. I would expect that updates don't affect my listening.

Nice speaker, would have given 5 stars except for the fact that no matter what I do, I cannot get my TV to play through the remote speaker using my Denon AVR. HEOS music, Pandora, etc, are all good, but TV, forget it.

When streaming an album from Amazon it would play 5-6 songs then say it couldn't connect. When I hit play again it would go back and start at the second song... every time. Heos support couldn't figure it out. They asked me to send a log file which I did but I never heard back from them, Sold the speakers, Recommended if not using Amazon.

I'm using as surrounds with the HEOS Bar. The system as a whole works great, sound quality is great for the speaker sizes. Hardware is off excellent quality. The app isn't horrible but could improve.

I'm an AV integrator and purchases some heos 1's to try them out at my home. First of all, let me start by saying my home wifi network is pretty darn good, because I setup and configured it myself and all of my devices have great connectivity, except for heos. I find that when I connect to heos after not using it for a period of time, lets say days or weeks, it is slow to connect and gets confusred. Furthermore the latest update has left me puzzled as to why each zone volume control is separated when the zones are grouped. In other words, I can not raise or lower the volume on all zones simultaneously, in previous firmware/software versions was not a problem. I say to Denon, the developer of Heos, if you wanna compete with Sonos head to head, make your network connectivity more ROBUST and bring back the ability to adjust volume control on all group zones, with one swipe, thank you

Purchased a Denon AVR-X6400H and two of these speakers. Connected my wired surround system to the avr works great, put 1 heos speaker in bedroom and 1 in living room the both work great grouped with the surround system.All this is controlled on my ipad, great app!!! Have had no problems and love this system. Bump!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Speaker works fine, but the battery pack is a piece of junk. Ordered two of them and neither one would take a charge. Then I looked at the reviews on Amazon and the first three said the same thing...would not charge. STOP SHIPPING THIS PRODUCT UNTIL YOU FIX IT.

That's my 4 Dennon HEOS, I go the first generation Heos 3 through an offer from spotify a few years back, and we loved the product so much, that I ordered another one for my son, and this year I added HEOS1 the 2nd generation to my home and gifted another one. The quality of product and sound is amazing, and now the bluetooth addition is great as well. My only 'cons' is that they are a bit pricey but for what you get in terms of sound and product, it does really worth it.

I picked one of these up for my wife for xmas. The sound quality is excellent and when using the iPhone app, it works beautifully! When trying to connect via bluetooth to play audio from laptops, the speaker dropped connection within 10 seconds, and in those 10 seconds was heavily buffering/delayed. I sent the unit in for repair and they shipped a refurbished unit to me. The second unit has the exact same issue. And I do not believe it is my devices, as I tested bluetooth connection with 2 cells phones, 1 iPad, and 3 laptops. All bluetooth connections get dropped. I cannot recommend this product if you have any interest in using it beyond the cell phone apps. If you want to EXCLUSIVELY use it with the cell phone apps, then I would recommend.

I purchased 2 of these to try to bring my house into the 21st Century, and had always been a fan of Denon. Great sound. That's it. This is one of the worst apps I've ever used - and getting worse. Now, after 6 weeks, and updating the app, and updating my home router/modem - neither speaker will stay on my wireless network more than 45 minutes. Once they lose the signal, it's a "click and guess" 5-10 minute game to try to get them back on line, as the app can't see them. The grouping/ungrouping feature of the app almost never works. This is a classic example of good hardware and pathetic software. I wish I had gone with Sonos, or Grace Digital, or just continued using the 20 year old clock radio in the kitchen. In fact, that's what we've gone back to, it sits on the counter, right next to the useless Denon Heos1. Not only am I extremely dissatisfied with these speakers, but Denon is no longer a brand I would trust. Run far away from these things.

We went with HEOS initial because of the connectivity options, and the Denon name... Very happy! My mother bought the Sonos, and the app/interface is clumsy and confusing. After the app updates, it's reliable, and far superior than other similar products I've interacted with. We have three HEOS 1 now, and are getting ready to buy another, as well as the HomeCinema.

I was told by the salesman at Best Buy that I could hear the TV audio through my new Denon Heos AVR-S730H Receiver to this speaker using Bluetooth. I wanted this speaker for the other room.I spent about 4 hours with your 2 tech support guys and they could not get the TV sound to work.
