We've been running them for 2 years now. They have been unbelievably flawless now for several months. The last update really fixed a lot of things. On the app, they brought back the master volume. Very key for whole house audio. We run 2 HEOS 7s, 10 HEOS 3s, and 2 HEOS 1s. All of them over wi-fi 2.4GHz and as a single zone. However, we do have our house wired with four high capacity prosumer/commercial grade Wi-fi APs. When we had only one home router (e.g., $200+ ASUS), the connection was iffy and the router would burn out after a couple of months. If HEOS would produce a real subwoofer, I'd add one or two of them to the rooms we hang out most in, but until then. It's still a nice way to live.

I already had a HEOS sound bar for my living room and a HEOS 1 for our master bathroom (since it's water resistant. We needed another speaker for our shared home office at Home. It's bigger than the bathroom, but smaller than the living room, so the HEOS 3 was the perfect size and power for that room.

I bought a $2000 denon Av receiver and thought that the heos 3 would be a wireless speaker to play CD music. No such luck it will only play subscription music through wifi. Useless so I returned it. Too bad I couldn't return the receiver, by the time I figured out how bad no mi it was it was too late to return it. Beware of Denon.

Could not get the speaker to pair to with wireless. Using Ubiquiti name brand wifi. Returned first unit and tried a replacement, still did not work.

In was amazed by the performance of this speaker. Perfect for each room of your house. I have found that they work flawlessly with Echo Dot and my AVR receiver that is WiFi capable.

HEOS works great. Have the Denon 3400 amp and 3 HEOS speakers. Fills my house with sound. Works great. App is easy to use and has lots of options. I love the favorites you can mix from radio, iTunes, SiriusXM etc.

Exactly what I was looking for and extremely pleased with how it performs. I have been looking at the options for multi room listening for about two years. Decided not to bother with wires as I liked the flexibility the wireless system would offer over time. I ultimately decided on the HEOS speakers because of the Bluetooth option and the ability to play hi res files. The sound is very full for the room each speaker is placed. Have not been disappointed in the least.

The Heos 3 is the best seller of the line! So small with a huge sound. Very impressive when you pair it up with another one and their Heos Sub for a killer self amplified 2.1 system!

Setting up the blue tooth took over 1 hour and then it required a premium app just to play the music. I also bought a JBL speaker just to compare. The JBL linked to my phone right away and allowed more freedom with music aps.

Fairly easy to set up. The APP is easy to use. Sounds is decent, but definitely way way below my Denon receiver with NHT bookshelf speakers.

Love my Denon receiver and speaker. However, the HEOS app crashes and locks up in the middle of a playlist. Very annoying. Speaker and sound are fantastic otherwise.

Having had the same setup for 20+ yrs it has been a pleasant adventure exploring all the new setups. I started with another product and moved up to Denon. Support has been well above par.

Pro: sound is good, we are very pleased. A lot of choices for were to get music from. Con: The app needs work. A good deal of the audio sources are subscriber based, and they are all optional. Have a way to customize this screen to reduce clutter making it easier to find the music or source you are looking for. Moving audio for the Heos to the receiver didn't work they way it did in the video, the receiver started playing the previous started queue. And the Heos kept playing. transitioning between rooms should work, or be easier. Also the volume should be normalized between the rooms, so when in transition it is seamless. An added feature that should be considered is an Alarm, tunein android app includes this but not the tunein source in the heos app. This would be a killer feature and possibly allow me to replace my wifes bose stereo. Not sleek enough, shape is a little awkward according to my wife, the home designer.

Love my heos3 hs2. The one downfall is not being able to use a pair as rear surrounds for my avrs930h. Would be a perfect 5 stars then. Why would you put the heos badge on the receiver if this was not possible? Hopefully this can be fixed with a future firmware update

I have been living with the Heos 3 for a few weeks now and am overall impressed. The sound quality is excellent. The variety of streaming services is more than sufficient. The things I've had issues with include: The blue LED on the unit cannot be turned off. In a bedroom at night, even at its' lowest setting, it is too bright. The unit lacks a sleep timer. #1 request here, Denon. For the life of me I cannot get Napster to connect to my account. I've got one of the old Rhapsody accounts that use a screen name instead of an email address and I think that is the problem. I haven't tried to solve it on the Napster end by changing my screen name to an email. The Android app will occasionally not connect. This generally happens after the phone has gone to sleep while the app was open. When I wake it back up it tells me it cannot find a Heos player on my network and to check my network connection. Stopping the app and relaunching always fixes it. It would be really nice to have a PC app as I am often on the computer and it would be quite convenient. My opinion is that the sound quality is better than Sonos, and while the user experience needs work it is quite good. There are still bugs, but hopefully Denon is working on them. The speed at which the software is updated will be the real determiner whether Heos can compete with Sonos.

Small ... mid compact speaker. A great companion to be use on mid size bedroom or mid size kitchen. Great bass response good pitch of mid and highs. Definetely worth it every single penny.

Had a full HEOS system (AVR-X4300H, HEOS-3 speakers, and HEOS Link) installed by Best Buy Geek Squad. Plenty of trouble on installation and setup including multiple attempts to load receiver software. Now, HEOS-3 speakers refuse to group with AVR and each other, and will play media sometimes but not all. Unplayable media includes CD, radio, internet streaming, iPhone content. Enormously frustrating experience. I'm about ready to return all equipment. However, when it works, the sound is fabulous. But this equipment should work out of the box and have high reliability.

I love my Heos system and I am really happy to see how Denon is expanding the echo system. The 3 is a great speaker for smaller rooms with excellent sound quality. Step up to the five for anything larger than an average bedroom. The Heos app is not bad, but it good use some design improvements to make the whole experience perfect.

The actual hardware, the speakers are great. The software which runs the system needs some improvement. Speakers will randomly disconnect and stop. Usually you have to unplug them and get it back going, and then restart your source; about a 4-5 minute fix. Maybe they need completely new software people because this review page randomly refreshes and I lose what I have written. It took 3 times just to get this in.

Great sound, good base . If you are using WIFI then you can only play with limited music apps comes with the Heos APP.
