Why not include a simple resume / stop button on the actual Heos device? I hate having to bring up a phone / laptop or similar to just simply stop the music. Also the volume up/down are so hidden, they could have been a nice and user friendly knob instead. But my main issue with this device is all the bugs that Denon just never seems to care to fix. From the ear shattering volume jumping up and down sporadically when using Spotify, to many tunes from Spotify always loosing the fist few seconds of the song. I mean come on Denon is this really hifi? I was told this was a high quality product, but I'm so disappointed. Will never get another Heos device.

Setup is time consuming but very straight forward. I set up and grouped four amps including Alexa in about one hour. It is a set it and forget it system with Alexa as the DJ. The sound quality is only as good as your in wall/ceiling speakers, I installed B&W wired speakers and the sound quality is absolutely amazing. Next is getting and setting up a Denon HEOS AVR with surround 7.2

Effortless to set up and reliable operation with good audio quality. But, the receiver unit seems to have auto muting with low signal from the transmitter which causes an audible pop in the speakers. This severely limits the use in quiet environments.

2 out of 4 of my amps have failed in the last two years. They are extremely expensive to replace and one of them I haven’t been able to spend the money to repair. It is ridiculous that I spent this much on something that fails so quickly.

I am a professional home theater installer and I have installed many of these along with many other HEOS products. The HEOS amp and the entire HEOS line is fantastic!!! If you have had any issues at all or written a bad review, I'm sorry to say that you probably just didn't understand the product or how it works. As I stated before, I have installed many of these and every single customer has absolutely loved it!!! The free app is very simple and works great! The only problem I have ever seen had to do with the network itself, the entire HEOS system runs on the network, so you need to make sure you have a good router. If your router is old, slow, or just not good... well then the HEOS system will not work properly. This is the poor networks fault, not HEOS. I highly, highly reccomed anything HEOS and I love installing it! It's easy to install, easy to use and sounds great! What's not to love! The only thing I'd like to see on this amp, is a low level output.

I use this with a set of Acoustic Landscape outdoor speakers. It is 4 satellites and a sub and it plays plenty loud enough even outside. Amazing power for such a small amp.

I was one of the first to use this system years ago and it just keeps getting better. The sound has aways been great but now the app is much better. More services and better integration with the TV bar now that it has a time delay feature. The only thing missing is Apple Music and control from my Mac.

I have several sonos products.  Bought the HEOS amp to go with my new Denon multi zone receiver (this is my 2nd Denon reciever The sonos is still a more stable platform.  HEOS gets confused sometimes and glitches up.  Hoping you will correct the problems with a software upgrade

The HEOS software doesn’t have nearly the consistency that it should. I have been a loyal Denon customer for over a decade and I cannot understand how they put their name on HEOS.

Overall, the amp works well. When it works, the sound quality is superb. The HEOS app; however, could use much improvement. It stalls frequently when initially playing tracks from a device (iOS in my situation). It cycles through the playlist multiple times- seemingly unable to figure out how to play them. Resetting the amp and the app multiple times doesn't always correct the issue. I believe a major oversight of the development team is the inability to fast-forward or reverse while in a track. If you are playing a lengthy track and want to listen to a certain portion again, you must replay the entire track. The inclusion of Bluetooth to the latest models is a welcome addition. However, since placement of these units is best suited to out-of-sight equipment racks and control rooms, the limitated range of Bluetooth can be more hampering than beneficial. Bottom line: excellent sound from a device with a very small footprint. Reasonable price point. App could benefit from some bug fixes and enhancement to move forward and backward within individual tracks.

I have had several small amps including Sonos. This is femininely the best of the bunch! I invested in 2 Denon AVR s for the house that had HEOS built in so I bought this amp after enjoying the AVR's. It is as good as a full dedicated amp!!

Not sure this was the right purchase for us. We’ve had nothing but problems with it since we installed it almost 2 years ago. We have 4 amps and 6 zones. And they are constantly “disconnecting”. We had geek squads come out numerous times to reboot the system. After a while they stopped coming out and said it was no longer their problem. The sound bar in the living room has never worked with the heos. “Not discoverable”. We’ve now hired a sound guy to come in and hard wire all the amps but the sound bar still doesn’t work. Very frustrated. Maybe the sound bar is defective ? Why didn’t the geek squad suggest this 2 years ago??

when building my new home mew I wanted great sound thru-out the house after looking at the smart home systems the where way out of my budget and costly to maintain, but with the heos system I was able to hook 4 of the heos amps a Denon avr-6400 in master bedroom and Marantz sr7011 in the family area, I also installed 15 new in ceiling speakers and made use of my older b&w speakers . and no I can control all of my music from my iPhone (or Ipad) in any room all play the same or all playing something different ! and as a added bonus it works pretty well with Alexa so I can say "Alexa play Christmas music in the kitchen" and it does ! I for me its the best money spent !!!

As a basic amplifier, there are no real issue. But when used as part of the HEOS ecosystem, there is much room for improvement. The lack of Airplay support is a huge disappointment. The HEOS application is clunky and not intuitive to use. These factors severely limit how awesome the AMP could be.

This little amp packs a punch. I have them running a pair of Mirage m990's in my bedroom. Makes these speakers sing. I need a couple more for the kitchen and bathroom. Maybe one for the backyard too, we'll see. I install a lot of these units where I work, never an issue and they sound great. I also have a link and a home cinemas, love them both. Bought my parents a link and a heos 7, they love both of those as well. They take the 7 with them to Florida for the winter.

We added two home theatres at once. This is the first time buying a Denon. I am very impressed with the bass and near surround sound audio.

The amp produces a great sound. Once you get your head around how the app works and with other Denon receivers, it works pretty well. Wifi connections and Spotify connections can be flakey. Whether that is Denon or other issues is debatable.

does not seem to have enough power to run my jbl ceiling speakers . also have a center channel speaker . amp overheats and shuts down with red light blinking when speakers run for more than 1 minute

This system is the most difficult to figure out and operate. To get different sets of speakers to work together is very tricky. The app continues to change and is hard to keep up.
