For all that it matters, this sound bar sounds just fine and has a nice punch :) Played it at high and low enough volume, bass and sound quality is excellent. i am no sound specialist ,what sounds good to my ears and does not make my head throb is OK with me. If you want to or thinking about buying it, you sure would not be disappointed. I am not for sure :))

I would not recommend this sound bar. We had problems with it starting the day of installation, and it turned out after it was checked that it was a defective unit.

This is the best sound bar for the price that I have ever heard. I have experience with similar priced Samsung, LG and Klipsch sound bars and this one blows them away. Very full deep sound and almost sounds as good as my 5K worth of surround sound system in the den! Then there the volume... this little speaker and sub will literally shake the windows with no distortion while listening to music via the app. The only con is the App is a little flaky, but I am getting use to it and can get it to work with a little patience.

Bought in store on sale. They were obviously trying to get rid of it. Did not wor correctly problems with volume levels. Didn't like not having a control.

When I went to purchase a new sound bar, I had Sonos or Bose on my mind. After all those are the 2 "names" you hear all the time. Well after listening to both of them, I was not impressed. And when I looked at the price of the Sonos, I was scared. We then saw and heard the HEOS. To say we were blown away by the sound quality was an understatement. As we spoke about the ins and outs of the Sonos vs the HEOS, one thing became clear. Sonos is focusing on the software interface first and the sound second. HEOS is a sound company (read Denon) who has a software interface. While both products are fairly intuitive to use, the sound is miles apart. For my household, I was purchasing a sound system, not an app. If you are truly focused on sound and that is why you are buying a sound bar and multiple other speakers, investigate the HEOS by Denon. Your ears will be happy you did.

I treated myself to the heos product from a vizio to this one trust a way better sound easy to use and the functionality of the apps is amazing.

Decided to go for the Denon system over the cheaper systems and have no regrets. Extremely happy with my decision

I had my reservations about soundbars and how much sound they could produce and how "big" of a sound it would put out and was very surprised by its audio ouput with movies and when playing music its apparent that was a big focus for Denon

Heos is not as good a Sonos , I have both and I've installed both . Sonos is far better in every aspect with the exception of inputs . The software is terrible, I have latency issues with different zones. I recently purchased a battery for the Heos one , it didn't work at all . I think it could be great but they really need some help on the software side

Sound is great and setup was fairly easy. The sound bar disconnects at times and unplugging and plugging back in seems to fix it.

Set up is not intuitive. Tech support did not respond to email inquiry; still waiting. Unit required initial set up protocol every time before using.

I own several HEOS speakers and love the way they sound. I also like the way I can sync them to play through out the house.

I had to go through Heos customer service and my television customer service to get speakers to work properly. Was not aware that there were no mounting brackets for under TV mount. Wires around speaker bar are not very attractive for a $500 sound system.

I use my Home Cinema along with other heos devices. The sub is good but can't be used as a separate comping for the bar. The bar is good for tv but lacks range and depth for music. When played alongside a Heos 3, is sounds very tinny. Just ok overall

My loyalty with Denon is being severely tested. I'm on my second Home Cinema and I need to re-start the several hour support calls to get this new one working. I just don't have the time and energy. The problem is that the grouping rarely works for music. I'm close the returning and buying a cheaper sound bar that doesn't group to other Heos but I will try support one more time.

Sound is good with my TV that is wired to the sound bar. The app for this which allows you to stream music does not work. Every time I try to connect my phone to stream music it tells me that it cannot connect and to try again later. It has never worked. Very disappointed because I cannot use this product to it's advertised capabilities. Spent a good amount of money for this and made the move over a less expensive sound bar from a different company. Again very disappointed and will never buy another Heos again.

I moved into a new home and installed two systems. The great thing is I can link them together and join and un-join multiple zones in my home (multiple rooms/outside zones, etc.) I have had four distinct problems. First, one of the systems subwoofer doesn't link to the system. I have to unplug the sub, wait 10-15 seconds, plug it back in, and 90% of the time it pairs with the base unit. To Denon's credit, they are replacing the system free of charge. The second challenge is that there is some significant latency between adjusting the volume on my iPhone and having it adjust on the speakers. The third issue is that a lot of the songs in my iTunes are DRM protected and I have to figure out a way to get access to them on my HEOS system. And the fourth issue: They don't have an integration to Sirius XM that works at present.

Glad I bought this on advice of sales person over other brands (Sonos, etc.). It is easy to install and has great bass notes. Plus, it's mobile app allows for flexibility and you can play streaming music services, which is very convenient. Overall, great value and great system. We plan on extending to add other speakers throughout house.

Sound bar once set up the sources for the sound changed on their own. The support tells you to go online. Not been resolved yet. Looking for another sound system

The app for HEOS is easy to use. And the sound bar and woofer give us hearing pleasure we have never enjoyed before. Our only problem is the local cable company remote control doesn't jive perfectly with the system. If we don't hit the "all on" button, and try to use just the power button, the sound bar shuts down. Trying to get my hand behind the bar, which is mounted on the wall above our mantle, is difficult. However, that is the only way to reset the bar by unplugging the power cord and then plugging it in again.

The sound is awesome, the system is fairly simple to set up, the connectivity for Wi-Fi its key selling point is okay but still glitchy. But the App is the worse. You would think after the tons of complaints, and the years of refining this that they would have resolved it by now. I have stayed loyal assuming they would get their act together and now have the home theater and 4 other speakers throughout the home. I would by more but I fear its a gamble. I would suggest finding code writers that can make the app work, RF experts that can refine the connectivity and fix your known issues. Great product, poor follow-through

Love this u it. I have two other HEOS speakers that work great with the home cinema. I plan on adding a speaker in every room of my house and my backyard if they ever make outdoor speakers.

Sound quality is excellent. The app is another story....plays 1-3 songs then quits, and no it is not our wireless connection. We stream plenty of others (youtube, netfix,, etc.) with no problem. Kind of a disappointment since we bought speakers to stream music.

If you're in the market for a Sound Bar, you're going to want to put this one on the top of your list. I am very impressed with the sound quality. Dialogue is clear and easy to understand and the low end is deeper and stronger than you'd expect. The functionality is equally if not more impressive. Setup was easy, but make sure you read and follow the instructions for the best experience (I didn't, I struggled, then I read them and it became easy). The biggest complaint I can conjure up is that immediately after setup I was asked to apply an update, and that update takes 10+ minutes. I wanted to play with my new toy and I had to wait until it was done.... The wires that it comes with are kind of short. They're OK if you've got the sound bar right beneath or in front of the TV. Mine was about 6" below and I had to buy new wires (HDMI and Optical). Once fully setup I was very impressed. The integration really impressed me. The Bar became an easy to use addition to the TV. The HDMI cable was able to take control of the Sound Bar, controlling volume seamlessly from the TV or Cable remote and it even provided on screen feedback to the changes. Very wife friendly...! Once you dig into the HEOS phone app, that's when it gets really cool. You can adjust the Dialogue level, the Subwoofer level and even turn on Night Mode to limit the dynamic range (for when you don't want those loud peaks during action scenes, etc...) As if that's not cool enough, the app also opens you up to a whole new world of Audio distribution. I've got a number of other HEOS devices in my home (which is why I chose with this bar) and now this Sound Bar is a integrated part of that collection. I have several rooms in my home that are fully equipped with expensive receivers and speakers. Let's be honest, no Sound Bar will deliver that level of surround. But the HESO Cinema will transform a flat panel TV with crumby sound into something far more potent, more musical and more enjoyable at a fraction of the price.

I had this system installed in my new home. The sound quality is excellent, but approximately 1/4 of the time when I turn the tv on, there is no sound at all. The app constantly drops. I called the tech support 2X and the best they could do was tell me to unplug the soundbar to re-do the connection "handshake". This is a pain. I would prefer an old fashioned hardwire and dedicated remote control. I am sorry I bought this.
