The Denon Home Sound Bar 550 is one fab sounding soundbar! Very musical, immersive and doesn't take over your living space. True to the Denon audiophile DNA. That said, the remote is a bit chintzy. Such a quality soundbar should be paired with a better remote. Also, status lights give very little info/feedback. You have to listen attentively after selecting a mode change to see if it's what you like. Yet, I wouldn't part with the soundbar because sound is first with me.

It's an excellent speaker. Sounds great for music. Sounds great for the television. I will be adding a subwoofer and bookshelf speakers later.

The sound is ok but the function is not adequate. The remote doesn?t make sense, the Bluetooth is hard to manage and connect between devices and each time one turns on the sound bar. The volume should connect to the TV remote. Will be returning for a refund

Great sound. Works good with my 2 home 350's for TV surround sound and Heos. A Heos subwoofer would be a good compliment to this system.

For being so small the sound truly surrounds you with a fullness. The bass has full sound, but don't expect any chest pounding bass. You'll need a sub for that.

We are using the speaker for streaming of audio into our living room. It produces a great space-filling sound and we were able to place it on the fireplace mantle so that it blends in nicely. Awesome speaker.

It's important to judge this product by its price point. With that in mind, I am very happy with the sound. the frequency response feels appropriate to the movies/shows I watch, and after a marvel film or two, you won't be able to live without the spatial vibe that this single unit puts out. The only thing I didn't enjoy was the set up, which wasn't particularly intuitive, but that once it's going, it does the job very well. So much so that I have two of them.

Sound quality is great, but.......................Still will not connect with wireless denon sub!!!! often times this soundbar has a mind of its own...exmaple: walk by and it suddenly changes the volume drastically!!! so annoying that we currently have it shut off...... not sure I could recommend based upon these two problems......

I love my new soundbar and i love the design and that it ain't so big. Had the Heos HS2 soundbar and bought the new Denon Home sound bar 550 and it did not disappoint me :- BUT to use the DSW-1H with the sound bar do not work....where is the update?? :-(

I want to affirm that this Denon 550 Soundbar is the best product I could buy. I am a user with a very sensitive ear, in the past I bought a Denon DHT-T100 Base, many, many years ago. But the magnificent and harmonious set of a wonderful audio, together with the compatibility with Dolby Vision or HDR 10+ with 4K Passthrough, is the best I have been able to choose to complete my entertainment room, cinema, series. Its pure and crystalline sound with the most current standards is part of Denon's DNA with DTS, DTS X, Dolby Atmos. The HEOS App for IOS is perfect for all its functions.

It?s a decent sound bar, but it loses connection with my devices after about 10 minutes so I have to change the volume to get it to turn back on. Also, it relies on an iPhone app for a lot of the settings. The remote is only partly useful. And the remote is doesn?t have a good feel, i keep using it when it?s turned around in my hand. I wouldn?t buy it again but I?m not going to get rid of it either. Just disappointing.

Title speaks for itself. I don't get any sense of height when playing Atmos content. Dialogue isn't as clear as I anticipated even when set to high. Gets plenty loud but I've noticed a delay in the speaker sound "kicking in" once I start video. Also, when will native Alexa support be activated? I've seen some dissatisfaction in other comments that firmware update should have happened last week of June 2021.

I had purchased this product the day it launched as I had been looking forward to it coming out. I also purchased the Denon DSW-1H subwoofer to use along with it. After spending over $1,200 I tried to set them up and noticed that the two products will not work together. After doing some digging online on forums, I found out that there is a firmware update that will be coming out ?Spring 2021?. I emailed Denon and asked when the firmware was coming out. They said ?June 23, 2021?. Today is June 24, 2021. The first day of Summer was June 20th, meaning ?Spring? has already come and gone and still no firmware update. I feel that I was conned into purchasing this product by false advertising and lies by what is supposed to be a reputable company. The soundbar sounds good, but is lacking bass. If you?re planning on purchasing this product to pair with a subwoofer, I would hold off and save your money until AFTER the firmware update is released. I wish someone had told me this as I would have spread out the two purchases.

They sound is great. I have it installed in the bedroom, and movie night has never been better! The soundbar pairs easily with my heos5 speaker... sound great !
