Great laptop!

Great laptop, fast boot time, excellent storage capacity and screen. I found the keyboard layout lacking however. Key spacing appears a bit wide for my hands, and I'm always, hitting the wrong key. Key labelling as worn quite a bit, with some lettering worn. Otherwise, this has been a great laptop!

Awesome Laptop

I have been making/upgrading computers since 1995 and found an Excellent deal on this laptop. Computers have come a long way since 95 and way cheaper too. 8 gigs of ram is way sufficient for what I do and I have always liked Dells because they are well made.

Easy set up, beautiful works, Great price!

This laptop is the newest and better than I expected. Awesome pic and sound. Everything you need to game, movie, music. Couldn't have been better pricing for the remarkable ease, access, and web experience!

Why did I wait so long?

I've only had this computer for a few weeks, but so far I've been impressed with the speed and start up of this computer. I put off upgrading to Windows 10 for quite some time, and am now asking myself, WHY?

Today start and notification icon failed to open as well as computer not responding at Bing site.

Did the support assist window, it ran thru its things, and still window start button failed to open as well as the notification at the far right of task bar. The support assist may be useless. Repaired issue myself. Not happy.

issues

I like my laptop except that it shuts down quickly after I stop using it and I sometimes have a problem restarting the laptop. I need to hold the start button down for 20-30 seconds and then it will re-start when I hit the start button.

New computer- Inspiron 3780

Recently purchased a Dell for school. Several of the models had mixed reviews but it had good memory and I got it on sale. It is SO SLOW and very poor battery life. I have previously used HP.. it was 12 years old and going strong except the screen. I do like the keyboard on this computer, easy to type and lights up nicely.

underwhelmed

I got this computer because mine was slow and buffering a lot. It was six years old. this computer is just as slow , maybe a little slower with the same buffering issue after increasing my internet speed.

Touchpad

Overall a pleasure to work with; love the solid state and regular hard drives. One glitch. I don't like touchpads, and prefer a mouse. It is too easy to bump the touchpad and lose work or get diverted to something unexpected. There is no intuitive way on this computer to turn off the touchpad. I searched for about an hour online and in Control Panel, and finally found a way in Device Manager under Human Interface Devices. Thank heavens. But none of my searches either in the system or on line directed me there. This should be MUCH easier to do. Thank you

Happy With Our Dell

Have been using the Dell 3780 for about 3 weeks now and couldn't be happier. The display is crisp and the response in handling updates, screen refresh, and dealing with multiple windows has been superb, especially compared to our previous laptop. The keyboard is firm and very nicely designed to make typing easy and accurate. We are exceptionally pleased with our choice.

Worst Computer Ever

Since day 1 I started having problems with this laptop. You can't have two browsers open at the same time let alone anything else. I bought it thinking it would be good for doing my Graphics Work on using PSP boy was I wrong. I gave it to my husband that does nothing but play games and it can't even do that. Dell has fixed on it twice replaceing the memory, motherboard and the hard drive. We thought that had fixed the computer from constantly being no responsive and freezing up. Then dell tells me it is a software issue when we all I have is my Adware and Malware program on it. I got so fed up to where I asked for my money back but typical Dell they fix and fix on it until it is past the return date only to be left with a brand new computer that isn't worth the money I paid for it only now to see it is no longer available. Should have read the reviews but I didn't because I was very satisfied with my older Dell Windows 8 Computer. Should have kept it and had a redo on it. Ended up buying an HP and it is 10 Times better. This computer is nothing but a lemon and Dell knows it which is probably why they no longer sell it. Good Going Dell pull a computer that you no longer sell when it was new just back around Thanksgiving.

Dell Works Better

Purchased a well known named laptop - within 3 months the system board went (and I had hardly used the computer. Purchased a Dell Inspiron 17 3000 - same price - so much better!!!

Inspiron 3780 UNRELIABLE

I purchased an Inspiron 3780 from the Dell Outlet and upgraded to the On Site service warranty. Within a few days of use it started to shut down unexpectedly about once per day. Instead of replacing the motherboard, Tech Support sent out a replacement computer which also shuts down about once per day. Time to contact Tech Support again.

My Dell experience.

I had a dell Inspiron 1420 for 7 years and it was as reliable as a computer can be. I recently upgraded to a new Dell 17 inch 3000 model and love it! HP has a lot of negative reviews on their 17 inch models and I did not want to be a statistic so I went with Dell and am thrilled!

Dell Forever

I was a proud owner of a Dell Inspiron SRS for almost 10 years and never had issues. When the time came for an upgrade to Windows 10, I turned to Dell for another Inspiron based on the excellent performance of the previous model. I have not been disappointed with this decision.
