I have only owned the Inspirion for a week, and have used it only for a word processor, but when I tried to hook up a Bluetooth speaker, I could not figure out how.

I loved this laptop, until I started using it for the main purpose I purchased it - telecommuting. The mic placement within the laptop pics up the noise that the fan makes. It makes a terrible buzzing noise and makes it impossible to use. I've had to invest in a headset with a mic in order to use my laptop - and when you're paying this much for a laptop, making further investments sucks a bit.

My old computer locked up right in the middle of completing my 2018 Tax Return!!! I went to the nearby Micro Center, and after consulting with the salesman, purchased the Inspiron 5579. It worked right out of the box and was very responsive. It has an I7 processor which is more than adequate for my type of use. I am very pleased with my purchase!

We are still having trouble trying to connect a simple Bluetooth speaker system. After 4 attempts we have decided to go old school and purchase a non blue tooth system. Very disappointed in Dell.

one issue that I had (so far) is that I set up the first profile, and the system "hickuped", and when I was typing in the DOB (Date Of Birth). It mis-took by DOB, and know my initial profile is under 18, and it kept me from updating properly. There was no 1800 number to call for tech support, it was strictly pop ups. I know that I used the toggle to chose my correct DOB (way over 18 yrs), but it did not function as needed. Then I tried to install a trial version of Microsoft with no success.

The inspiron15" touchscreen is a great tool for everything and individual or student's needs or applications for home use. It's easy to navigate and locate programs and most programs tie together to be cohesive and better the user's experience. I had a MacBook prior, which has so far lasted 13 years, but I needed a PC for my RN program, and the touchscreen has come in quiet handy with anatomy applications.

I bought this laptop a little over a year and a half ago for college. Bottom line, I regret buying it. It takes five-ten minutes to start up my computer, the battery dies quickly, and the volume does not work correctly. It works fine with headphones but if you unplug them the sound goes to mute within around one minute. I have had problems with screen ghosting and the buttons not working. It is overall very slow. I would not recommend this laptop to a friend and need to buy a new laptop. Very frustrating.

My main concern is that the bottom gets extremely hot. In fact, the heat irritated my leg. I had to go out and get a lap table. I can't really see myself traveling with this item because of that. When you are sitting in an airport for a couple of hours and your computer heats up, its not ideal to stop working in the middle of a project.

It has been great experiencing Dell Inspiron. But I have noticed few blue screen error and hand issues. I think you guys can do much better. Thanks.

This laptop seems to run slower than I expected. I am also unable to add the Office 365 verification code that was included in the price of this laptop. I am also confused on the amount of storage I have with OneDrive as I am receiving I am an error that I am 83% full already. I need technical support with this laptop

Hard to believe it's a budget machine … it far excedes my expectations. Boots in less than 10 seconds … gotta love it. Software performance is exceptional … apps load quickly and are most responsive. Truth be told I like everything about it … price, performance, design, features etc. I would have given it five stars instructions for creating a recovery disk were inaccurate. There were also issues with installation Support Assist … in each case, additional research was required to resolve the issues.

Amazing laptop, I just love it, except the keyboard, don't understand why having so much space doesn't bring the number key pad, for now this is my only dislike, for the few days I have it, really fast, amazing screen, great support by dell, I have to say the same words as Po, 'I LOVE DELLLL(KUNG FUuuuu) --- :) NICE WORK'

Good overall machine. Not as fast as I expected, which was disappointing. Facial recognition is fairly good. Flexibility as to usage as tablet or any other configuration is nice. Very comfortable to use. Setup was very easy and quick.

I am enjoying my Dell Inspiron. I find it so much faster and I love the touch screen which makes it so easy to get from one place to another and also it converts to a note book when I flip it over. Great product that Dell has created.

This is a fast laptop with an Intel I5 chip operating on a solid-state 256GB hard drive. It loads lightning fast because of this. The screen is excellent. If you are streaming, the picture is excellent at all angles, not like some laptops that look dim if not watched head-on. I really enjoy the touchscreen and the ability to use it as a tablet, folding the keyboard section underneath to easily prop up the laptop to watch video. Or in tent mode. It's fairly light weight and never gets hot. 256GB may seem like a small hard drive, but I plug in a 128GB USB 3.0 flash drive for more room (though I still have over 150GB on the internal drive). Response is very fast. My only minor complaint is the keyboard. There was plenty of room to add a 10-key numeric pad, but it lacks that. Otherwise, perfect. One suggestion: disable SmartByte if you are having slow wifi. Also there is no ethernet connection, a minor issue especially because the wifi card is blazing fast.

So I've been using the lap top for a little over a week. It arrived early so that was exciting. It works smoothly, boots quickly. So far so good. I was looking for a computer to do some light photo editing college work. I do believe with this lap top I got the best bang for my buck. Chose to get the 16 GB RAM. Went in right away and removed all of the bloatware. So far the experience has been pleasant.

We bought this expecting it to last many years. It had many problems right out of the box. Glitching cursor on the touchscreen to weak battery and under powered charger. After just over 2 years of problems it decided not to turn on. Two different tech stores say the motherboard went bad. Not sure if I am going to have it replaced. New board costs over $450 with installation. This was over a $1000 laptop directly from Dell. Very disappointed! I should have turned it in at the first sign of trouble

Bought this laptop with the mindset to play some online games, i7 processor, 1T HD. When I originally bought the laptop I had to have Dell support fix an issue with download speeds and really slow response time, but since then the laptop has done everything I have asked of it. Would buy again.
