My Inspiron 5680 has yet to fail me. The power that this computer holds is joyous. From Gaming and Recording and Mixing Audio to basic web browsing and word processing, this Inspiron has handled the lot with plenty of processing power to spare. An absolute steal for the price, I would personally recommend anyone who has the funds to purchase this machine.

My experience with this machine has been mostly positive other than it freezing while booting up. It is fast, looks nice, and is quiet. It was a reasonable price so I would suggest it for anyone looking for a nice starter pc

Very happy with the product. Very versatile. I run AutoCad, Solidworks, Solidworks visualise, Inventor and revit with ease. It also works well with all games. I have played GTA V, FIFA, Modern Warfare and Apex Legends and this set up handles everything well. Looks great, works great and reasonable money. Dell of course are making plenty profit but it competes well with all other gaming pcs at this money.

I have had the computer for about a week, and I really do like it. When it comes to speed, Iray graphics rendering, and gaming this computer is awesome. It just performs well. However, I have some issues. Although the graphics card, the RTX 2060, in the system performs well, there is a high pitch buzz/cricket like noise that can be heard when playing games. I never had this problem with my old GTX 970. However. I got in touch with tech support, who have been extremely helpful and nice, and have sent me a new RTX 2060. I really appreciate that they did that. So, all I have to do is send the old one back instead of having to go to a store and wait for them to work on my computer. I use this computer for work, and it would have been a problem if I would have waited for my graphics card to be replaced in a store. Another thing I have to criticize is the PSU. I really like the system and it offers a lot of great components, but for the price I paid they should have a much better PSU. It only comes with a 460w PSU which doesn't offer a lot of options for upgrade. Also, according to Nividia, the recommended PSU for the RTX 2060 is a 500w PSU. I am also having problems with random freezing which lasts a few seconds in Windows 10. This is not hardware failure because I went through the hardware diagnostics a couple times with Dell tech support when I had to call them in regards to the graphics card noise and for another issue. I am assuming this has to do something with Windows 10 or the PSU. I have done some research and some articles say that an inadequate PSU can cause these kinds of problems. I never had this problem in my last PC which had a decent EVGA 640w PSU. Anyways, overall, I really do like the system, and I would definitely recommend it to family and friends. However, I hope the new RTX 2060 that they are sending won't have the buzzing/cricket noise, and I hope that I can get this random freezing in Windows 10 resolved. I would also highly recommend that Dell considers putting a 500w PSU in these systems rather than a 460w. Again, Nividia recommends a 500w PSU for the RTX 2060. I would also like to note that Dell customer support is great. The representatives that I have spoken with have been extremely helpful and understanding to the issues that I have had.

Bought this a few months ago. Crashes constantly. They told me to run their useless problem detection programs which finds nothing of course. Reinstalled windows numerous times and have had professional IT inspect and work on it at this point. Still crashes constantly and it is an obvious hardware problem at this point but good luck trying to get them to replace it. DO NOT BUY.

I have a 9700k and RTX 2060. The CPU air cooler that dell provides is sub-par. While it will keep the CPU temps within specs, the thing sounds like a jet engine while it does it. It's incredibly loud. When I asked if aftermarket cooling will be an issue, their recommendation was to make sure drivers and software was up to date and that aftermarket cooling isn't recommended. I mean, if they came back with, "we do have a watercooling solution that is available, you can order it at..." I'd consider it. But, it runs everything great, just I can't recommend this configuration to anyone until they fix the CPU cooler.

I bought it 2 months ago, good price, good PC but... 4 days ago it stopped to work... called to tech support.... 2 times (2 days) spent total 7 hours... still doesn't work... now Dell will send me box for shipping for repair.... my daughter is high school student will be without PC for long-long time. Extremely disappointing... I was Dell customer for almost 20 years, never had any problems....

Normally I buy XPS-class machines for my heavy PC use (video editing, software development, gaming now and then) but this time an Inspiron caught my eye. The design of the new XPS machines has been toned down a lot and this Inspiron was the perfect mix of exciting looks, while not having the extreme looks of the Alienware machines. The specs of the machine are very good: 16 GB RAM, 256 GB SSD, Intel i7 8700 CPU, nVidia GeForce GTX 1070 graphics and a 1 TB HDD. Only the 1 TB HDD could have been bigger in my opinion. Best of all: it has an optical drive too! Unfortunately it's not a Blu-ray drive, but a DVD RW. I use my CD burner a lot for installing software on older machines, so having this is a must. Furthermore, the machine features a USB-C port, USB 3.1 ports, a headphone jack in the front and surround audio in the back. It has one 3.5" and one 2.5" drive bay unoccupied for expansion. It also features one open PCIe x4 slot and 2 PCIe x1 slots. The PCIe x16 naturally is occupied by the graphics card. My machine has a fully transparent side panel with blue lighting inside, which looks neat. Also, the machine is very quiet and has dust protectors in the front panel to keep the inside clean. The only miss in the case is that it doesn't have any media card slots (like an SD card slot). In terms of performance, the machine flies through my 100 mbit 4K video clips like it's nothing. The SSD type NVMe drive pre-installed on the motherboard can also be upgraded to an M.2 type of drive which run over 3.5 gigabyte/s for even faster access rates. I chose to install an x4 PCIe card with a 500 GB NVMe drive on it. Long story short: a very powerful, extremely handsome machine for an unbeatable price!

Awesome machine!! Very quiet and all the horsepower I anticipated and expected. I run dual 24" monitors and use Visual Studio 2019 continuously while hosting web sites and IP camera apps. Windows 10 flies on this beast. I especially liked all the video options for monitors, VGA, HDMI, DVI and Display Ports. Dell comes through with flying colors!!

Bought a basic PC mainly based on cost. It surfs the internet just fine. But sound, video was horrible, if it worked at all. Gaming was barely functional. This Dell - crazy better. Feel like we are using some beta NASA super computer or something. Games render without any stutter. No regrets.

I never imagined that a company would ship a computer with NO disk drives.

Due to the "open air" concept for the case and the singular case fan and active are cpu cooler the whole system tends to thermal throttle pretty much as soon as it hits the "turbo clock" speeds. and system wide liquid cooling setup is a must

This is supposed to be a gaming computer, as it is, it is slow downloading anything, let alone a game. I am disappointed in Dell. I just had to get this new one as my old (14) years old, just died on me. Had to replace only 2 things that whole time.

It's fine as long as you don't upgrade the graphics card and do gaming under an hour. Bought a 2070 super and thermals are high and there is NO COMPATIBLE AFTERMARKET COOLER OR DELL MANUFACTURERED COOLER OTHER THAN STOCK!!

I bought this pc in February and I’ve already have windows delete itself, multiple crashes, and now the most recent problem is that the headphone jack is picking up something that isn’t there. There are just too many problems with this computer to recommend.

I used to think Dell was a good brand. Then my Alienware x51 died just out of warranty after 2 years of actual use. I bought an Inspiron then found out Dell isn't made in America. The cpu is i7 9700 running at 3.0 ghz. It was advertised as being 4,7 ghz. I wont buy another.

What a game changing experience!

For such an affordable gaming desktop, you can play some graphically intensive games with the NVIDIA GTX 1060 and 8GB of DDR4 Ram(With expansion slots). At first I thought the price was too good to be true. but DELL has made an amazing product! The Dell Inspiron 5680 is an amazing gaming desktop if you ask me!
Best computer I have ever had!

This computer does very well for me (which besides doing everything you do with a computer you normally use at your house) in gaming!, although the pc was good enough as is I installed 2 more 8gb PNY anarchy ram sticks, same speed. I also installed a 2 TB SSHD just to have more space to have to big games with hefty prerequisites (which this pc handles very well :D!) while not clogging up the hard drive that I have the operating system on so I can download more important files there without w...
