Nice Unit - No supplies

Bought this unit for the office in 2014 because the Dell marketing specs said the bulb had testing specs for 30,000 hours. (3.4 years) We really enjoyed the compact size of this projector, but the brightness wasn't that great. Moving the projector away from the wall/screen made the picture wider, but the image was dark. Closer was smaller picture but a brighter image. (I'm sure that's by design) This projector should only be recommended for very small offices with very few viewers. Biggest problem to-date: as mentioned before, the bulb specs, as displayed on the Dell website, says 30,000 hours. Even if that's a relative guess, its reasonable to believe that most customers will not get close to that. Our bulb did not. Now that we're having issues, we attempted to get a new bulb from Dell and we were told that Dell does not have any and they cannot give us a date or time when they will be back in stock. That strongly implies that significant issues surround the bulb lifecycle and that the 30,000 hours they advertise is misleading. When confronting Dell marketing about this, they stated there are other factors such as overall room temperature, handing, etc.. that would contribute that could reduce the overall runtime, depending. When confronting that comment by considering 15,000 hours, (well within an average usage period) Dell continued to oppose our findings and say they were irrelevant. Hence, it is my belief that this product is flawed and Dell doesn't want to admit it. There's no reason to get a 3 year warranty (which is max) because your bulb or entire projector unit will probably malfunction shortly after it expires. (We concur with the another reviewer here, who stated the same).

Great resolution, Bright bulb (just does not last), small and lightweight, and very portable

I purchased this device a August 22nd 2014 because I travel a ton for work. I honestly loved this device for the first year until it went dead. On October 5th of 2015 Dell Support told me that the warranty went out on the device August 23rd 2015. I told them I understood however asked if they could prorate one since the bulb didn't even come close to the 30,000 hours they advertised. I told them I understand that it all depends on voltage, settings, temperature, etc. as I have been doing IT my whole life but I used this thing for meetings and training etc. The max I would ever use this thing for is 4 hours a day. So 4 hours a day times 365 days a year is only 1460 hours and you are advertising up to 30,000? That is 20 1/2 years and mine went out right after warranty. Long story short they offered to sell me a new one at full price... So much potential in this device.

Great projector for wired PCs. Does NOT work with iPad or iPhone.

Let me start by saying this is a handy, rugged and reliable little projector. Size is perfect, picture is good. In the guide it says you can connect wirelessly to iOS using the "WiFi-Doc" app. Well, that app hasn't been updated in years and does not work. Long story short, there is no way to connect wirelessly to iOS, which makes this projector alot less useful to me. If you're on a laptop or PC, it's a great projector and the wireless works fine.

Wow.....

First Impression, 4 minutes out of the box.. Excellent picture and brightness (don't expect it to project 50 feet, but a 18 feet it is great) Much better Pix quality than I expected... Very easy to set up and use. My only concern is that it will hold up. I don't plan on using it more than a few hours a week, and they claim 30,00 hrs... No expensive bulb so I am optimistic..

Great portable projector

For it's size, this projector is amazing. Resolution is good, brightness is good, great feature set. Only negative I've run into so far is the fan noise which I saw in other reviews. It can be a bit loud, especially in full brightness mode, but it's not a deal breaker.

pice of junk

I had the projector for 2 weeks and it started overheating and turning off. I only used the projector 4 times before it started giving me troubles. Trying to return the projector was a big headache also. I been buying Dell products for years and this projector experience has me very disappointed in the Dell brand.

Little Projector, BIG Features

We used to ship a big monitor for trade shows. It was cumbersome, expensive and not user-friendly. We had to coordinate freight, labor, etc. for each show. No more. Today, I simply preload a video presentation on a USB key and our team packs the projector in a carry-on. No computer is necessary, and our team loves how easy it is to use. It also gives a clear and sharp image. We are considering several more for our other departments/teams.

Hesitant at first

For the price of the unit I am more than satisfied with this unit when I do presentations. Just did not have the room to carry around a full size unit. Nice case that holds all of the appropriate wiring, and fits nicely in my briefcase. Connection to the laptop was easier than I expected. Delivers what I asked for.
