I bought this unit to replace an old Pioneer and it had the features I wanted, especially SiriusXM streaming. At first everything was fine, good sound, easy to set up and use, etc. After about a month, it started "stopping" (for lack of a better way of putting it). Customer support was atrocious, and one woman actually had the audacity to tell me "Well, you know the AVR line is our lower line"!! As a broadcast engineer with extensive streaming experience, I will never buy Xenon or Marantz again!

I don’t think the sound or the power is any better than my old Sonybut I went with this because it is digital. It is such a hassle to use the remote I have thought of returning it. I would not buy again.

I had read that some of these have HDMI failures. Within 90 days my primary HDMI connection failed. I switched it over to another one and now that is failing. Only option is to ship it to authorized service center. That is costly.

It was glitchy and would need to be turned off and on again frequently to get the sound to work. Now it just died completely after 1 year and 1 month. Don't make them like they used to.

I upgraded to this device because my old pioneer elite had died out. Everything was easy and simple for setup. All worked perfect for 1 week. Then out of the blue I received a message that my tv monitor wasn't hdcp compatible so the receiver won't work for my xbox one s. My tv is a sharp aquos that is 3 years old, has always looked great for picture. I am not buying a new tv because the receiver isn't able to isn't able to deal. There doesn't appear to be a firmware update to resolve the issue, so beware of these new receivers if looking and you have an older tv or different hdcp compliant devices.

I purchased this to replace my Onkyo 705. So far, I love the sound, great audio quality. The only issue I have is when switching from 4K on Directv to a HD chanel, all I get is snow for a picture. This is resolved when I switch the source on the remote control and back to the original source, that solves the issue. I had sent Denon an email, but have had no response! I also do have the newest, high quality HDMI cables.

I upgraded from another receiver that was 8 years old and blown away with the features now available with WiFi connectivity and Bluetooth. I had one small hiccup with the Online Music, Radio and Bluetooth not recognized however after a bit of searching on the Denon web page I found out how to do a "Reset System" and all is well now and enjoying every minute. (To reset, press Tuner+ and Tuner- and Power button.)

After a lot of research, this was my pick. It does it all. And so easy to use! This was an upgrade for my old, out of date, hard to use receiver of a different brand.

Good sound. Many features for the price, for instance 8 HDMI and they are all 4k. The Audyssey does a better job than the other brand receivers room acoustic algorithms perform. This is one of the reasons I went with Denon. The setup assist is also useful. Would only like to know how close to reaching the limits with all channels driven.. None of the manufacturers are informing the buyer in on this bit of information. If you go the route of a preamp and amplifier then they supply watts per channel all driven. Best you can do with supplied ratings on these integrated home theater receivers is take the one channel driven spec and divide by how many channels you will hookup.
