terrible on a macbook pro - the fonts were awful and there was no way to fix it

Love the picture, but really would like to have management software available for Mac. I am able to manage volume for the built-in speakers with open source software, but can’t manage any configuration through an app. Power saving mode on MacBook causes issues also.

I love this monitor. It replaced two 24" plasma models. I like the wider 34" format and the curve makes the images more natural. Panoramic photos are stunning on this screen. Wished I had gotten a 38" model to better match the two screens though, as some windows overlay each other.

While the image looks good, the problem is the electronic hum the device makes. I get the hum when using the usb connection between the monitor and laptop. I sent back the monitor and the replacement one did the same thing. It is a Dell laptop and Dell cable, so the problem is on Dell. If I only connect via HDMI the sound goes away. Very disappointing and I wouldn’t recommend this screen.

So much better than 2 monitors. Should have done this sooner as my productivity has gone way up.

I looked at the questions after I bought these and realized none of the questions are answered. 1960x1080 sounds great but they are really big monitors... and everything looks BIG. Like, I'm blind and need a special monitor. There are no directions on connecting 2 monitors even though the add hints at less wires. Support has no idea and wanted to look up my potential laptop video connections. ( I already know what they are and had already typed them into chat. ) I will keep trying to see what works but I'm leaning towards shipping the 2 monitors back.

I paid at least $50 extra to be able to use the USB-C charging feature on this model vs. P2719H. After a few days there was a buzzing sound coming from the monitor, too loud to ignore. After searching online, I see there are others who have noticed this problem, and it has to do with using the USB-C cable to charge a laptop while connected to the monitor, which the monitor is supposed to be able to do. I am now using the much shorter Thunderbolt 3 cable that came with my laptop, instead of the USB and so far it is not buzzing, but I am skeptical as to whether this has resolved the issue. The bottom line is I find the buzzing sound unacceptable, I wish I had known about it before I bought this model, and I did not think the Dell responses on the Dell community website were dealing with this problem in a serious manner (search it up and see for yourself). I don't have the time to do an exchange right now, and it would end up costing me money to ship it back, so I may not be able to resolve this for myself, but at the very least I wanted to let others know about this issue. Again, I would not have bought this model if I had known, hence the 1 star.

The only thing keeping this monitor from being excellent is that they don't have any DVI ports on them. I can almost see eliminating the VGA port, but you're really limiting this monitor to newer hardware with the ports it does have - which are impressive in their own... so why not a DVI port? That's it, very nice monitors besides that.

I'm surprised there are not more reviews on this amazing P2719HC monitor. If you’re a Mac user, this is the one to get. I originally bought a U2719q 4K to use with my mid-2010 Mac Pro with 280X video card. The 4K was too much for the system and I was unable to boot into the monitor plus there was random flickering. To get the 4K to work, I had to boot into an older monitor then switch cables to the display port. Forget that. In addition, the 4K had a native resolution that made items on the screen truly miniscule. I can't imagine anyone being able to work with this on a daily basis. The only recourse was to set the resolution to a lower number completely defeating the purpose of the 4K monitor. Forget that! Dell returns were amazing and assigned me a person to make sure I was happy. No restocking or other fee. I was sold on this monitor when I talked to my business rep at Dell and he told me this is the monitor that the sales teams use in their offices. This P2719HC monitor is beautiful and bright and crisp. Colors are stunning. I’m able to plug in my Mac Pro (mini-Display port to Display Port) and any other macs I have directly using the USB-C port. I don’t know of another Dell Monitor that has this plug (I'm no expert). So get this monitor. You will be very happy you did.

Our lab had these installed and I was able to use them for three weeks straight. The usb-c did not work directly with my m5510 laptop usb-c port. So I connected a docking station instead and used one via hdmi and anotther via DP. USB-C went to charging my pixel phone... I have P2714H's at home and the 2719HC is much better. - better stand (I like to rotate to portait for visual studio or sql developer), better screen. Bezel is almost non-existent. Great for having them side by side. DISCLAIMER - I work for Dell. Why am I posting this review? Because my work with these was enough to convince me to buy for myself at home and it's hard enough to get feedback from someone who actually uses them...
