Very nice monitor. 24 inch size suits me fine. Speakers are fine however account of their small size they don't shake the room. Supprised that it operates on just 12 volts. Having a little trouble adjusting the ratio between the brightness and contrast to my liking and would be a personal setting.

I really like the monitor. It has a great picture and is just about the right screen size for everyday work. I have played a couple of games on it and it works just fine. The two things that annoy me are the glare on the screen, it isn't a matte finish as others have said, it has a reflection. So when you screen goes black you get to look at yourself. The other thing that bothers me is the speakers. They have decent sound with the MaxxWaves on but horrible without it on. The problem is with MaxxWaves it tries to get a full range sound (I mean as much a 2 tiny little speakers can) and sometimes it isn't very clear. However price is good, the screen is good, the glossy finish not so much.

Purchased the dell monitor because of its built in speaker/audio system, however upon installation the audio is horrible, (audio sound is extremely low) to make a comparison my cell phone audio is louder than the audio sound that is coming from the Dell monitor, I was very disappointed.

The monitor is great, love the built in speakers. beware...be sure to read the specs. this comes with a HDMI to HDMI cable, older desktops don't have HDMI output slots, and a different cord is expensive.

I asked for a computer just like I had before minus the ability to play flying games ect. I got a computer without word to wrote letters. Listen to the tape from my order and I am sure you will hear me say I wanted to write letters.

I'm very happy with the screen. The color is excellent. I am a bit disappointed with the speakers. The sound is a bit tinny and the volume is not high enough for some applications and I then have to switch to my old speakers.

Great monitor. Dual HDMI ports allows me to connect two laptops and use the wireless keyboard/mouse with either laptop and this monitor. Very convenient!

The picture quality is excellent. However, I think the speaker is woefully underpowered. Had I known the top-end for volume is so low I probably would have gone with a different monitor.

This is best monitor money can buy! The price is right & the speakers are great. Don't believe anyone that bad mouths the speakers, they are the most impressive speakers I have ever heard in a monitor... This monitor fastens to its base much more secure than another companies monitor that I own. When I bought the other companies monitor I couldnt believe how poorly the monitor fastened to its base, that is not the case with this Dell monitor, its super secure. I will only use Dell monitors from this point on. I bought the 24 in but I have been using a 27 in monitor for a while, next time I would go with the 27 in for increased productivity.

The S2419H was to be a replacement for an aging 2011 model LCD monitor. Material and setup wise the S2419H is an easy and pleasant product to work with. OSD menu is generally good and smooth to maneuver in, but I would've liked a more fine-tuneable sharpness setting. Tilting mechanism feels sturdy with little resistance. The lack of height adjustment is easily solved with an improvised stand, provided you want to move the screen upwards... As mentioned, picture quality is great with generous sRGB coverage and relatively accurate non-professional out-of-box presentation. Subjective perception is enhanced by the (sadly rare) semi-glossy coating, giving a "pure" and vibrant impression. White screen and colour uniformity are both subjectively very good for the price class. Alas, the monitor falters and collapses completely when exposed to even slightly dark scenes in all but the brightest of typical room ambient lighting. While I'm well aware all IPS-type panels exhibit 'IPS glow' to some degree the amount seen in my unit is simply appalling: about fifty to sixty percent of the panel's lower half is severely affected by white, near-solid glow, accompanied by four light bleed hotspots. A strong, 1000 lumen 6500K bias lighting bulb can mask these deficiencies somewhat, but crush black shade perception in doing so, and isn't generally immersion friendly regarding games (VA panels have two major problems of their own, and are not an option). I'm actually not sure whether the problem is more related to unavoidable glow or (theoretically) avoidable bleed: even a soft touch to the frame will temporarily move the bleed hotspot and reduce glow while doing so. Unfortunately, the aesthetically pleasant looks seem to carry a heavy cost to even light distribution. I'd really love to continue using the S2419H, but compared to other IPS-type monitors I've seen the amount of bleed and glow are simply not acceptable, ruining immersion in even slightly darker game/movie scenes. Hence, I'll be returning it. The S2419H has all the basics done right for its price group, but is sorely let down by manufacturing issues and poor quality control. Ratings are given based on end experience with this unit: without these critical faults they'd be much better.

This computer replaced a similar 7 year old unit and works significantly better than the prior computer. I especially appreciate that all of my peripheral equipment interfaces without issue with the new machine.

We purchased this monitor because it was advertised as having improved audio capabilities. Said the speaker system in the monitor was better than most, not really. This is comparable to just about every other monitor out there with low quality speakers. My recommendation would be to buy a cheaper monitor and invest the extra money in a supplemental audio system for your computer.
