Dim/shaded strip along bottom and top of screen. Otherwise this is a very usable display. Nice color balance.

I already owned the previous generation of this monitor and was very pleased. The new version improves in all ways, especially in brightness levels, and I also appreciate working with a non-reflective screen once again. The base is very stable and screen angle adjustment is easy (using two hands. I was concerned that I would be bothered by seeing cable clutter compared to the previous generation monitor where all cables inserted at the back of the base, but have found that not to be an issue at all. I can heartily recommend theS12719DC for design professionals, it's an excellent value and great performer.

I've been very pleased with this display. Image is bright, crisp, and very clear. The near edge to edge display is nice especially if running multiple displays. There are also many connectivity options. My only complaint with the display is some dead pixels near the left-hand bottom of the screen. I thought we had gotten past the era of dead pixels, but I guess I was wrong. No amount of gentle rubbing could coax them back to life. Only problematic when working with light backgrounds.

Excellent resolution and color accuracy for a 27" monitor. Even though the HDR is not perfect, it is a great entry point for HDR content. While HDR peak brightness is very good, black scenes are grey, as this is not a VA nor OLED monitor. Still, HDR content is standout compared to SDR (just don't forget to enable HDR on the monitor, and in the operating system). The USB-C display port is one of my favorite features. It is able to charge my laptop, while also working as a display port. This has made jumping between my desktop and laptop with the same monitor a breeze. Biggest negative is that the monitor angle cannot be adjusted from left to right, meaning that any crookedness cannot be corrected.

I use this monitor daily with a 2018 Macbook Pro 13 at home. It works fine when you use it normally. But, it causes issues when your computer sleeps. Computer sleeps when you stop using it for some time. Then, monitor cuts power from usb-c which wakes up the computer. This happens over and over again and then macbook crashes and restarts. I use P2719hc at work, but the same issue doesn't happen with that monitor. Something is wrong with this model.

The resolution is outstanding. However, it seems to have an issue with communication with my Dell computer. It constantly says that it's not connected to the computer. It fixes itself, it's just a pain to read that several times a day.

This pairs perfectly with my X1 Carbon. The build quality is tops, and I'm very happy with the screen quality and the small footprint. A big upgrade from a U2415, it's retina-like at 2560x1440. Friends that come by often compliment the monitor! The lack of HDR over USB-C is annoying, but it does charge my laptop over USB-C which means one less cable.

The monitor is great for when I am home. The size allows me to split the monitor and combine with my XPS-13 have "three screen" open

I've had this monitor for a few months now and the quality is great - would definitely recommend it! I had hoped to use the single usb-c connection to my laptop to provide power and replace my (small/separate) Dell docking station. This did NOT work. The usb-c connection cannot power my Dell laptop and in fact burned out the usb-c port (requiring a motherboard replacement in my laptop). So great monitor but will not be able to be used to reduce the number of wires as hoped :-(

A major issue with the monitor that I've experienced is it will send a startup signal periodically to my Macbook around every 10 minutes. If my laptop is in sleep mode or even powered off, the system will power on. Naturally, the Macbook will sleep again after a few minutes without any input, causing an endless cycle where the monitor and laptop repeatedly turn off and on. If plan to use the monitor with a Mac at any point, I would not recommend this model.

Great value for the money. USB-C support is a game changer! The one improvement I would like to see is Vesa mount support.

I have a 2018 13" MacBook Pro and wanted to take full advantage of USB-C and all its glory. For the price and quality, this is hands-down one of the best new monitors that Dell has released. With one cable I can transfer power, data, and video. With the 2 USB-A ports located on the back of the monitor, I plugged in a Logitech USB wireless receiver to use with my mouse and a USB flash drive. And all the data gets sent over the USB-C cable connected to my Macbook. So in addition to this being an excellent monitor, it also serves as a hub for my USB-A peripherals. There is only one cable exiting my Macbook and it makes my setup look very clean. As for the colors of this monitor, they are extremely vivid, everything 'pops', and the display of text is very sharp. I would say it is equal on quality to a Retina display, it is just that good. At first I was having a hard time deciding what resolution to get. There were 4K monitors and 1080P monitors but the former is crazy expensive and the latter seems like it would be too low-resolution for me coming from a Retina display. This Dell S2719DC is a comfortable 2K monitor so it is right in between concerning image quality, convenience, and pricing. USB-C monitors are also more expensive and if you're looking at this monitor, you probably already know that they are far and wide in between. There were also no prior reviews for this display so I was going in blind but I have no regrets now. Excellent product, great value, and I highly recommend it.

You get pretty much the best version of the specs laid out on paper. The design, performance, and image quality are spectacular. The only caveat is that HDR is only supported over an HDMI connection. If you want an HDR image, you have to trade off a single-cable connection and all of the benefits - power, downstream USB, convenience - that accompany it. Hopefully, this can be rectified by a firmware upgrade, but for down it does affect the future-proofed utopia of USB-C.

I paired 2 of these together with Dell’s MDS19 (I think) dual monitor stand. Perfect setup & the monitors look great on my desk!

A good monitor, cool ,beautiful and ultra thin, I am not happy because the height is not adjustable, so if you use bifocal lens, this is a problem when you need to read the upper of the screen, you need to raise your head causing neck uncomfort.
