RAM itself works perfectly and is an identical match for existing RAM in the Optiplex PC it was added to. Will be covered under existing warranty as its an official Dell part. Had issues with the upgrade where the PC wouldn't boot with both sticks of RAM installed until the BIOS was updated. After BIOS update it worked perfectly. Price was a little high vs reputable 3rd party RAM vendors, so if you don't care about the warranty coverage of the PC or its run out or about an exact match and are ok with speed and basic timing matching alone, maybe look elsewhere.

I increased my RAM from 8GB to16 GB with the addition of 8 RAM. My Inspiron desktop works like a charm. Very pleased with the outcome. I can use my PC for few more years.

Upgrading my Dell XPS 8930 with two additional 8GB sticks of memory was quick and simple. Pricing was competitive with those of other vendors. Plus, I felt assured there would be no incompatibility issues with said purchase from Dell.

This Dell 8 GB RAM stick delivered everything that Dell promised and is fully compatible with the Dell 8 GB RAM stick that came installed with my new Dell Inspiron 3471 small desktop computer. Now my new computer has a total of 16 GB RAM, which makes my new computer extremely fast allowing me to run multiple applications seamlessly and effortlessly including very smooth streaming video!

The cards are well made and instantly recognized by our Dell Area 51. They are more expensive then other comparable cards that I have found to be thinner and slightly more difficult to install. Only 4 stars because they are so much more expensive then the other cards. The information the Dell sales associate provided regarding the cards was not 100% accurate so do your own research.

It was wasted money. When I put the new memory card in, something happened to the power button module, so that I could not turn the computer on again. I tried every way I could. I cannot even return the memory card because it was so difficult accessing it inside the computer, I lost track of which card was which, and I'm not going to unscrew the parts to get at it again. The computer was "out of warranty" - and not by much - so I decided to discard it and get a new computer - from another manufacturer, NOT Dell.

My memory upgrade is a vast improvement from 8gb of Ram to 16GB. The video's fly and overall performance is up 50%, great choice and time to open and install was less than two minutes.
