I have another UltaSharp 26 monitor from a couple years ago that I have been very happy with. The new monitor was great out of the box, with zero adjustment needed. Both are connected via HDMI from mini-DisplayPort outputs. Excellent quality and value.

I would give it 5 stars, but one of the monitors I purchase have back light bleeding problem on top right corner. It is not huge though but somewhat annoying when the room is dark and because I have majority of my applications in dark mode I cannot mask it.

I have only owned Dell monitors. This is by far, the BEST one I've owned. If you work with Adobe Apps get this monitor! Dell does it again. d

Not what I was expecting, don't see much of a difference from the previous monitor that I had. I was expecting to see super high definition quality picture, not so much.

Monitor is great. Power button not easiest to get at, but still works well after several years.

Overall, like this monitor. My only issue is that I don't understand why I have to run my audio system through the Monitor.

Great monitor, only complaint is that the black levels aren’t as good as I’d like. I really recommend it for any use- video editing, playing games... great monitor for the price! (;

This is an excellent 2560x1440 display in a useful size...slightly more compact than the 27" but with the same excellent image quality. I use the Dell UltraSharp monitors with both my MacOS machines and my Windows-based CNC control machine and there was no question about buying anything else.

Good size for my work and good color rating were my reasons for buying. Reasonable price, too. I'm very happy with it.

After reading about all the great reviews online I bought this monitor with high expectations. Sadly it's been a disappointing experience. I was aware of light bleed issues with IPS panels, but this being marketed as a more "premium" monitor I was hoping the bleed would be minimal. The images are taken the first day I received the monitor with a completely black screen. Maybe I got a faulty unit, but I was expecting a lot more from this monitor. I would not recommend it to anyone.

Maybe I was a bit rude in my first review. It earned negative 2 votes yesterday. Here is a photo of the lower-left quarter of the screen, and a Windows PrtSc screenshot of the same. To me, the taskbar is excessively hazed over, and the desktop background is tainted from yellowish glow. (was. I RMAd the monitor.) Decide for yourself if it is acceptable. For a more detailed examination, see this Dell Monitor Forum thread: https://www.dell.com/community/Monitors/U2518D-backlight-bleed-and-uniformity/m-p/7291386

Worst backlight-bleed ever. (what better backdrop for the endless standby popups that will drive you crazy) Brownish hue when viewed at angle. That angled shot of Windows Desktop icons should be solid blue background. The panel is even brown when it's powered off. Is this junk really IPS? RMAd for refund immediately. What junk.

I bought this when it is on sale, and with student discount, it is a great deal for me. So I bought it. Nice and clear, cannot choose less than 2K and 25'' monitors again. Color is sharp as well. The reason that I choose 4 stars on features is that the HDR feature is not true HDR, but Dell HDR. And to use Dell HDR, you need to use the specific cable that is needed (HDMI cable I believe, which is not provided with my monitor). The reason I choose 4 stars on customer service is not because of this monitor, but the XPS desktop that I bought with this monitor. The first one cannot be turned on, after a change, there are some problems with audio (sound card) settings (I think it is not hardware), and their tech support did not fix it, I got my money back instead. I am kind worried if there is something wrong with the monitor, they may not able to fix it. (might get a change instead).

This is a great monitor to have. Worked right-way at plug my system. The screen is very clear to compare to another 24' monitor screen I have. Wish I gotten 2 monitors instead of 1 during my 1st purchase. I would get a 2nd one but they raise it's prices. I'll wait until the price comes down.

I am happy I purchased this monitor. I use it for general computer and games. The IPS display has great color accuracy for me. 1440P resolution is also sufficient for me. I purchased 4 more to use at work in our office because the monitor worked so well.

Bought a pair of these. SO much sharper than the 1080p monitors I replaced. I also like the completely adjustable stands.

TL;DR - Great monitor, great color, but barely meets HDR standard, HDR content does not looks great. Bought on September with a good price along with a promo gift card. Apart from the light bleed from the right down corner, the image quality is amazing among most IPS monitors. U series features a thin bezel on all sides including the bottom. 2018 U series has a smaller Dell logo compared to my S2417DG monitor. However - HDR features are not really HDR compatible. On windows, the color is kinda too bright and washed out, not to mention the bad color accuracy. From the first look it looks like a simply brightness boost. I looked through the HDR standards: A usual HDR TV features several brightness zones and 1000+nit for the brightness, but S2518D has a single brightness zone and 350 nit which barely fits into the HDR standard. For photographer/designer: i1 Display Pro + DisplayCAL showed result (white point 6500k and a white level of 100 cd/m2, sRGB tone curve) as below: Gamut coverage: 97.5% sRGB 71.4% Adobe RGB 75.7% DCI P3 Gamut volume: 107.0% sRGB 73.7% Adobe RGB 75.8% DCI P3 (Sorry for the bad English.)

This is my second Dell monitor, replacing the very thin 27 inch monitor, which i loved! Unfortunately that monitor was too large for mt desk set-up. This monitor is super clear, bright and my eyes are less tired than when i was using my old Asus monitor . i switched from my original dell to asus , stupidly. Dell makes the best monitors by far. that's why I switched back. I also like the 25 inch size vs. the standard usual 24 inch. and the 2560 by 1440 resolution is a good step up from 1080!!! Great product!

I bought this to replace an older one that I had and it is so much better than the old one. The color is better and I like how you can move it up an down and tilt it wherever you want it.

I purchased my new XPS 8930, 8th Generation, i7-8700 6 core processor with the Special Edition Case and I love it! I was worried because of some of the reviews I had read, but as always, I love my Dell and they delivered with this one!!! I have owned Dell computers for the last 20 years and they have the best computers and the best prices. Thank you Dell.

I wanted a display to accompany my 2015 Macbook Pro. I bought another monitor that was 1080P, but it looked fuzzy compared to my Macbook - sad, right? I know that 1080P is great quality, but sitting next to my Macbook, I wanted something a little more clear. I went to this UltraSharp, and I am satisfied as of now. I have just taken the monitor out of the box and gotten it hooked up - which was very easy - so I cannot speak to anything other than initial impression, but so far I am very impressed, and happy with my purchase. Plus, I got this monitor on a great sale.

The stand is flimsy and wobbles when pressing the buttons. It is supposed to be calibrated from the factory. The colors are good, but look a little saturated. The resolution is awesome at this size, I can read two documents side-by-side easily. Fedex lost my package and their support was awful. Dell support was awesome and shipped me another quickly.

I bought two of them for a dual monitor system. This is likely the best system I have owned in 33 years of owning systems. I have been a Dell custome for 20 of those years

I bought 2 of them. Great sharpness. The resolution is in perfect ratio with the 25" screen. The color gamut is good enough for photo editing. No complains when use it for gaming with 5ms refresh . It is almost frameless, and position can be adjusted to my liking.
