I upgraded to a new system and choose this monitor. The last system had a dell 24" monitor and this monitor is way better with colors and sharpness. The monitor I received had no color bleed and when I edit photos it shows way more information. A good monitor for the price.

I’m an artist and I have been compensating for very, very inaccurate colors on an inexpensive monitor for years. When I started to sell prints of my work, I realized that I needed to upgrade and did extensive research trying to find a good monitor for a decent price. I’m extremely happy with my purchase; I have had this monitor for ~10months now and I have not regretted my purchase once. The monitor was accurate right out of the box and I can easily match both print and web colors now. There is zero light bleed, all of the pixels are live. I can’t believe how much my perception of color has improved; it speeds up my workflow considerably. I would highly recommend this monitor to anyone who wants a color accurate monitor.

As one with failing vision this monitor is prolonging my ability to work and frankly enjoy having one instrument where I can see more clearly than in my general environment. I deeply appreciate it being available at a relatively affordable cost. I would have rated it 5 stars except for the fact it requires a Nividia graphics card. Fortunately I already had the card installed but most people who do not game do not. I would hope Dell would be alert to a likely increasing market for high definition monitors as more and more digital literate are aging into the years when vision problems become common.

Bought because I did not have enough RAM on my previous Dell computer which caused it to slow down greatly particularly when working with a number of open windows. This machine is normally much faster but periodically it slows down to the point where it will not accept keyboard inputs, and periodically freezes then requiring a reboot. Cannot identify what specifics causes these problems.

I bought 2 of these to go with my late 2015 iMac (27inch). They worked beautifully out of the box. I connected both using the supplied mini DP cables to the back of the iMac. The iMac instantly recognised both monitors (correct model and resolution). All I had to do was adjust the arrangement in the iMac's system settings. I then went in and matched the profiles to the iMac and all was great. I love using them with my photo editing software. They are not quite as sharp as the 5k retina screen of my iMac but they are very close. all in all very happy so far. Getting 20% off the price for buying 2 was also very welcome.

My wonderful U2410 of 7 years just died. I thought of cancelling the order with this one, because of several negative reviews, all of which were from 2016. I am glad one of the Dell specialists convinced me to try it. The super sharp text and graphics are better than I could have imagined. I find no fault here, and for less than I paid for the U2410 back in 2011. Thank you Dell!

Beware the bogus review claiming this is a 4k monitor. Mine will arrive in a couple of days, very excited to see how lightroom and photoshop look. Giving this 5 stars. If it does not live up to my expectations, I will be back. Otherwise, go buy yourself one. Or three.

We just got 2 of these at work for a design team and they're extremely good. Maybe it's because they're being used in a well-lit area, but no backlight bleed issues or apparent colour uniformity issues. Main problem is the price. Because work OK'd the purchase, we had no remorse dropping this much on these monitors, but if I was buying for personal use I'd likely look at some cheaper options, or definitely wait for this to go on sale.

The monitor looks great from the outside, but you quickly realize the colors a complete wreck, especially when you consider the fact that you paid the premium price. I compared it with my other monitor from another manufacturer side by side (same resolution and same size with border less display) and the color depth and contrast is so poor on this dell monitor. Tried changing all the settings on contrast hue and saturation and didn't give any satisfactory result. The color depth is extremely poor and the back-light bleeding on the edges and the blurry image reproduction with poor color depth totally destroys the concept of 2560*1440 resolution.

Ive purchased a lot of monitors and for the value this performs extremely well. When you dont have the 1000+ for the Eizo the ultrasharp is a great purchase...

A common problem with this model is color and backlight uniformity issues. This is unacceptable for a monitor in the "Premier" range. I have reverted back to my budget U2311H monitor and the calibrated image on it far exceeds the calibrated image on the UP2516D. This monitor is expensive for its low quality image, and Dell will not allow you to return it if you have reached 30 days from your INVOICE date (not delivery date). So unfortunately I am stuck with a faulty monitor which I cannot return, less than 30 days after it was delivered. My advice is that this monitor is not worth the risk of not being able to return it. If you must have it, purchase through a retailer other than Dell to avoid the restrictive return policies.

I wanted a higher resolution to use with my Macbook Pro and this looked like a good option. I do design work, so I was especially attracted to the marketing around it's color support. Big mistake. The monitor looks great at first, then you quickly realize the colors a complete wreck. "No problem, I just need to run the calibration software...." Nope. The mac software refused to connect with the monitor and crashes. Apparently this has been a problem for months and I don't see Dell responding to the problem in the support forum or providing a software update. So much for having great color support. At this point I've switched back to my 10 YEAR OLD apple cinema display since it displays color correctly. My wife gets a new monitor now for her PC and I'm back to looking for another monitor.

I'm a web designer (and an occasional gamer) and I use Photoshop and Visual Studio (for coding) at the same time and wanted a great monitor to go with my Surface Pro 3 using a display port. Right before I gave up and go for a HD display, I saw this one and immediately ordered it with expedited shipping. After a few hours of test, I must say I am a very happy owner of UP2516D 4K monitor! Let's go into the details: The design is very sleek and much less bulkier than previous Dell UltraSharps. At the same time, the Dell identity is still there. The gun-metal-gray back and super narrow bezel keeps it aesthetically appealing and still professional-looking. As per the refresh rate (my biggest fear) it did a pretty amazing job with a 60Hz and a 60FPS 4K video looked stunning with it. Long story short, no light bleed, great viewing angles, extra sharp pixels and amazing colors. HOWEVER!!! The colors might look too vibrant for precise professional purposes. You just need to adjust to the desired color space, and for me changing from Adobe RGB to sRGB did the trick (in monitor's OSD menu) The price was a bit too high but it was well worth it!
