Shopper : Can I downgrade to Win 7/64 Pro or Home Premium? I have no need for Win 8, since I will have a touch monitor, plus, my work on any computer is Photo Editing 95% of the time. No need for Win 8 oddball interface.Peter A : opps, I will NOT have a touch monitor!!

The X8700-1880BLK Desktop Computer from Dell features a fourth generation Intel Core i7 processor complete with 12GB of DDR3 RAM which is upgradable to a maximum of 32GB. The Dell X8700-1880BLK comes with six USB 3.0 and four USB 2.0 ports allowing you to connect a variety of peripheral devices. Along with numerous USB ports, you can also connect both VGA and HDMI compatible monitors directly to the PC. Audio connectors include one headphone/microphone combo jack and one 3-stack audio jacks. Windows 8.1 is the installed operating system. Windows 8.1 improves the user experience of Windows 8 with several additions and changes. The Start button returns, but has two limited core functions. A left click takes you to the redesigned Start screen featuring tiles that update in real-time. A right click brings up an advanced menu where you can access the Device Manager, Control Panel and more. You will also be able to boot directly to the traditional desktop screen instead of the Windows 8.1 Start screen. Boot Directly to the Desktop Windows 8.1 gives you the choice of booting to the Windows 8.1 Start screen with live tiles or booting to the familiar desktop screen of Windows 7. Users can also boot directly into an app or app view if they choose to.
