The xps 13 is one of the best thin and light ultrabooks for windows. It's super light and design is sexy! I do wish it had more ports but i guess that is a trade off for being thin and light.

Heats up even when running low memory programs. Unhappy about the laptop heating up all the time - I do not run RAM consuming programs!

This is the worst app I have ever used. All it's good for is letting me know when I get a notification. You're supposed to be able to reply back to texts when you keep the app open on your phone, but EVERY time I try to, the app closes on my laptop.

The Dell XPS 13 is compact and fast it's just what I was looking for. I have two older Dell XPS laptop computers that are only being retired because of age. I highly recommend Dell products.

I was initially a little cautious about jumping back into Dell systems. Even though we have good success after transitioning our company to Latitude tablets, comments about the XPS 13's had me a little concerned. After 2 weeks fiddling, setting up, and generally trying to find ways this 9380 won't work I have nothing to note. It dual boots with Ubuntu perfectly fine (and Ubuntu runs very well, aside from wifi not connecting after suspend), and Windows 10 Pro is doing great as well. If I had one concern, it would be that Windows resource usage is a little high compared to a non-OEM install, but easily solved if you just remove the additional Dell software; personally, I find some of it useful and have left it on until I get annoyed. None of the "QC" issues mentioned across the web have surfaced on my machine, but I haven't finished testing absolutely everything. Also, I ran a benchmark and my machine seems to be running at the top of its class. So far, I am a solid recommend for this product. This is not a hardcore gaming PC, but for my use case it is perfect. I am knocking the star rating because it really should have user replaceable RAM and network adapter.

First let me say I have an older version of this laptop. The touchscreen 4k edition. The backlight for the screen has died even tho touchscreen still functions and it passes the POST diagnostics test. The only way I can use the laptop is to connect it to an external monitor. This could be fix by me replacing a cable but they won't sell the cable separately so I would have to buy another screen. For a $1200+ laptop this is very disappointing. I won't buy another Dell laptop/PC again.

I had this laptop diagnosed with Dell customer service and already have to mail it back to get the fan replaced. I made a bad decision buying this high priced laptop

I love the lightness and how small the XPS 13 is. It's also been great for editing my photos. Love this little laptop!

I really like the new XPS 13 9380. It is fast, compact, light weight and operates very efficiently via Windows 10. I really like the backlit keyboard as this was missing from my previous laptop. The screen resolution is crisp and clear and truly phenomenal.

Neat, smooth, fast but because the machine is white the backlight could be coloured. Moved from my Alienware as it was too heavy

Seems Dell does not cater for over 50's. Laptop I bought was not user friendly in terms of the keyboard layout ect., customer service was patronising

I'm only 12 but this is what shocked me. This laptop is only 1,500$ and runs like a master piece, the performance when I'm studying is incredibly fast and I have not bad interrupting. Over all this laptop is amazing and really light.

I bought this unit 4 months ago and the cable connecting the power adapter to the computer has already begun to fray. The design causes an undue strain on the cable when plugged into the wall leading to the damage. I have never posted a negative review of a product, but this was just too disappointing, considering the money spent.

my touchpad is not working properly. The cursor doesn't move in some places of the touchpad. Sometimes it moves very slowly and sometimes it literally teleports.

Bought this laptop a little over a year ago and its so bad....it always heats up for no reason, the fan is extremely loud, and sometimes it can barely handle simple tasks like texting on Facebook messenger....the only good things about it are that the screen looks good and the keyboard feels nice but that doesn't even matter if it can't perform basic tasks without heating up. No, I don't have a bug or virus and I have called customer support and nothing they did helped.

I love my XPS 13, at first I was hesitant to switch to a Dell computer because I had previously been using a Apple laptop. I would have never been able to do the things that I have done with my XPS with my Mac Air, and honestly so happy I switched.

I have been using this laptop for few weeks now and I m loving the experience. I think the xps 13 and 15 models are the best created by dell.

This PC is not much larger than a tablet, but you still have a full keyboard and connectivity capability. Very light and compact.

Yep, so it's week one and this laptop has no instruction booklet, you can't figure out if it has a left click / right click facility, and all you seem to get on the in-house apps and emails are adverts. Let's hope Dell 'help' explain all, and without a long wait on the phone!

The device is almost absolutely beautiful, and almost everything that I had hoped for and more. However, it has not been two weeks and the fingerprint scanner no longer recognizes when my finger is on it or not. Such a shame to have such a horrible flaw so early on to a device and company which I have loved. I was hoping for something that wouldn't have issues, especially so soon. I'm unsure how to get in contact with customer support too...

I am not a tech person but I find this laptop easy to use. I choose this modell as many people recommended it for it's many features. The screen, the storage space, everything that I was looking for it has and soo far it has not disappointed. I use it daily for work and the battery has never let me down. The design is really nice, if you are upgrading from a laptop with larger keyboard like me this will be an easy transition. Overall I am happy with this product, the only difficulties I have experienced are with Windows 10 but as I am a grandma level user this might just be me.

The most powerful 13.3" in its class, remastered. With an innovative HD webcam located in the top of the InfinityEdge display and next generation Dell Cinema.
Operating System
With Windows 10 Home - get the best combination of Windows features you know and new improvements you'll love.
The best, perfected
Improved camera location
We pushed innovation to its limits to create the most innovative HD webcam that's housed in the top of the famed InfinityEdge display-now front and center.
Revolutionary webcam construction
The new XPS 13 webcam isn't just smaller (only 2.25mm) - it's also better. A new 4-element lens uses more elements than a typical webcam to deliver sharp video in all areas of the frame, while temporal noise reduction uses advanced noise reduction, significantly improving video quality, especially in dim lighting conditions. Finally, the lens is assembled with precise machinery to ensure all points of the image are in focus.
Elegance in three different styles
We've redefined sophistication with our new frost or rose gold with arctic white woven glass fiber or platinum silver with black carbon fiber interior.
Innovation made striking
Progressive technology
The XPS 13 honored as a CES 2019 Innovation Awards Honoree in the Computer Hardware and Components category.
Dell Cinema
Cinematic experience at your fingertips with incredible color, streaming and sound.
The ultimate personal theater experience
CinemaColor
Visuals appear every bit as lifelike as the world around you. Experience richer, more vibrant color and details enabled by Dell Color Profiles and take full advantage of HDR content's superior dynamic range, infinitely deep blacks and dazzling bright thanks to Dolby Vision.
CinemaSound
Waves MaxxAudio Pro boosts volume and clarifies every tone, so you experience studio-quality sound.
CinemaStream
Killer Wireless channels maximum bandwidth to your videos or music for a seamless, stutter-free experience.
An unparalleled view
Less border, more pixels
We've improved every part of the display. Enjoy a screen that seems endless with an InfinityEdge display, enabling a 13.3" screen in an 11-inch form factor with an 80.7% screen-to-body ratio.
Vibrant colors
By maximizing the color spectrum with 100% sRGB color and a 1500:1 contrast ratio, every shadow takes shape and even bright scenes gain definition.
Beautiful from every angle
The anti-reflective screen combined with superior 400-nit brightness frees you to enjoy your entertainment outdoors. Plus, the IPS panel provides a wider viewing angle, so you can share your screen without missing a thing.
More might, even more slight
The most powerful 13-inch laptop in its class
Plus, Dell Power Manager, engineered by Dell, allows users to customize their laptop acoustics (fan speeds), temperature and performance based on their preferences between quiet, ultra-performance and cool modes. For example, quiet mode is 50% quieter than the other modes. It also dynamically delivers the maximum power from your processor while monitoring and managing system temperatures.
Work or play longer
You'll experience incredibly long battery life-up to 21 hours when using productivity applications like Word or Excel.
Faster memory, more storage
The system boots and resumes quickly, thanks to 256GB of solid-state drive storage. Multitask in a flash, even on intense applications, with up to 8GB of 2133 MHz LPDDR3 memory.
Scorching looks that keep their cool
Stunning strength
The XPS 13 is cut from a single block of aluminum, so it's more durable than a machine that's pieced together. Carbon fiber, inspired by the aerospace industry and woven glass fiber of the palm rest, allow for maximum strength and minimal weight. Corning Gorilla Glass 4 is twice as damage resistant compared to competitive products.
Cooler than ever
The XPS 13 is the first laptop built with GORE Thermal Insulation, which provides thermal conductivity levels lower than air in a thin, flexible format. While the Gore insulation directs heat out of the device, dual fans and heat pipes further lower the temperature of your XPS, enabling greater performance in a thinner form factor.
Advanced technology made simple
You are the password
The fingerprint reader integrated into the power button lets you log on with just a touch.
Voice-activated
Your XPS 13 responds to your voice from up to 14 feet away, thanks to four built-in mics, Microsoft Cortana and Waves-enabled speech technology. Control playlists and access schedules regardless of background noise.
Leading-edge connectivity
The Thunderbolt 3 multi-use Type-C ports allow you to charge your laptop, connect to multiple devices (including support for up to two 4K displays) and enjoy data transfers up to 40Gbps-8 times that of a USB 3.0.
Advanced docking
The XPS 13 can be used with Dell docking solutions, featuring single-cable connections for power, Ethernet, audio and video.
Unite your devices with Dell Mobile Connect
Seamless PC/smartphone integration
