It's a nice machine, but it would be nice to have specific tech details on the hardware/system. e.g., all I know is that I have a hitachi dvd rw, but not whether or not it is dual layer capable. Same with the video card (Radeon 560), although AMD has specifics. Even the on line manuals are shy on details. C'mon guys, its only electrons!

Over all I call my experience average. Starting the computer for the first time windows 10 would not start correctly. It would lock up with the task bar blinking on a black screen. After talking to support we came to the conclusion Windows 10 needed to be reinstalled. After which it worked. Also the DVD/RW rom is the cheapest I've ever seen. It is like a Laptop DVD/RW. I'm afraid It will break in no time. I've always noted Dell as a quality computer but my thoughts have changed. Even the installation paper work is so none informative. Over all the computer runs fine but I am disappointed with Dell

Easy to set up and runs really fast. Do not have to be a computer wizard to be up and running quickly. Only thing that took time was the Windows 10 updates and transferring the files from my old computer.

So far I am very impressed with the design and features of the XPS 8910. One feature I really like is being able to access the mother board componets without having to remove any screws and can work on it right where it sits (leaving access to the left hand panel) which removes easily and with a power supply that swings out of the way to get at the rest of the componets. The Dell software and Windokws 10 Pro are full of features that are usefull. The speed of the Intel I7 6700 processer is super and after installing a Samsung SSD this machine is extremly fast. I truely hope you build more like this one in the fulture.

This is my second Dell computer. I had to recently upgrade from my 10 year old Dell, which was operating just fine; because a Tax software package I recently purchased would not work on the Vista operating system, along with I am sure, other new applications. So, I bit the bullet and purchased a new Dell computer and like my first one of ten years ago, I am delighted with it. It's a Hot Rod, and I look forward to many more years of use.

I bought a computer last year not knowing very much about them. BIG MISTAKE!! It was soooo slow and I was unable to use the adobe products I needed. This time, I did my research and figured out what I needed to be able to use my products and not slow the speed. Everything has been downloaded and it is still super fast!! Too much bloatware included with XPS. i.e. Office 2016, and, Office 365, then I loaded my own copy of Office. Then there are the preloaded games.

This is the first Dell I have owned. So far everything is working very well. No problem with transferring my files and other important information. Time will tell if it lives up to what I expect.

I can't do anything. Your program gives examples, but won't let me type in my address or anything, and it keeps interupting me with sales promotions. I just bought this and paid $800.00 for it. Adobe Acrobat is not compatible and gives error messages. I keep getting an alert that I plugged a device into the audio jack when I did not. It takes two attempts to successfully log in each day. I won't buy another Dell. This is my first and last.

This computer came with no documentation whatsoever There was nothing to explain what, how or where the connections should be made. After hooking up my printers, I get a mssg. that they won't work properly with 3.0 USB ports and to connect it to 2.0 USB ports. That is all well and good, but the only 2.0 ports are required for the mouse and keyboard. I have repeatedly set the power settings for turning off the monitor and putting the computer to sleep. It doesn't work. Monitor is on 24/7, so I imagine the computer is too.

The machine is quick and quiet but something that the techs could not resolve for me is getting the unit to save jpeg files after they have been worked photo processing software. An error message appears that says an unknown error has occurred when I try to save the finished file to the c drive. I can save the file to an external drive without a problem. Both the software techs and the concierge trouble shooting service of the company from whom I bought the computer have failed to figure out the problem. Since I can save to an external drive the conclusion is that there is something wrong on the CPU so I am returning it.

I love my XPS, I had the 9100 and it served me well. This XPS 8910 is a excellent machine! So far it has shown me to be fast and reliable, as well as fun.

I have always been an HP buyer, but when looking to buy a new computer, HP systems have limited upgradability. Also, their prices were highter than Dells for a comparable system. So far everything is going great. The only problem I had was installing a 500G WD SSD to replace the installed hard drive and cloning the original HD. I did find a work around and everything is now working lighting fast.

This is a very powerful computer though not a gaming machine. If one needs a powerful yet affordable desktop this is a good choice. The software setup was the most professional I have ever seen for a Windows machine. Dell has a good web site that has all the manuals you will need online. All of my setup questions were easily answered by consulting the online documents.

So far (about 2 weeks), everyting has worked as advertised. Still exploring). However, I have thus far been unable to locate any documentation on how to setup a dual boot on this machine. I would like to use this machine with Windows 10 and Fedora linux. Any pointers on how to set the BIOS to allow this? Also, I notice that the processor Core i7-6700 (which is in the machine I have) does not support the OPTANE storage system.

This a good computer as most are now a days. However, I set out to get something geared more for the professional. I own a business and need to make invoices, proposals, and just research prices on materials. it is frustrating to know after spending this much money on something that you need to buy all the other things to do this type of work. In addition, it comes loaded with games and fun apps galore. Some people do not have a need for games, movies, and social networking. Just want to more efficient at business.
