Nice fast notebook, but the touchpad !! so bad, so hard to click in a button ! (sometimes i need to try few times, because cursor everytime moves and touchpad has some kind of play, when i slighty touch it, it moves (and makes sound). Touchpad quality is more like for 400-600$ laptop, not 2k$ !!!

The first XPS 13 9360 had a track pad not installed properly, rattling and clicking every time you touch it. It was sent back before the 30 days initial warranty and a new XPS 13 9360 was sent promptly as a replacement with a perfect track pad. Yea Dell!

I just switched back from a Mac after 10 years. Windows 10 absolutely rules. This machine is awesome, the keyboard is so tactile, and everything is GREAT!

Pleased with my XPS 9360 with early follow up. Great screen. Incredible stereo sound for a laptop. Pleased with the battery life. This machine is very light. The laptop is tricky to open and requires two hands. Dell mobile connect works great. Would have given 5 stars if I could have loaded my iCloud email into Outlook but that's likely more of a MS Windows issue. Overall great price (got a deal from Dell!) for a powerful laptop.

As of the first week of use, I have had issues with the headphone jack as well as other audio issues such as not getting proper audio from USB headphones for a time. Although the USB headphones sorted itself out, I still am having trouble with the headphone jack. This is unacceptable for a $1,600 laptop

This XPS laptop is a really sleek piece of hardware. I'm a CTO and I would recommend it to other CTOs. However, I feel that Dell's new strategy with docks is wrong. The dock requires a separate power cable. They are expensive. They are buggy and require the user to reboot often when disconnecting / reconnecting to the dock. Dell should definitely go back to the original dock design. They were cheaper and more reliable.

I got the XPS 13" core i7, 7th gen. Very light and portable. Turns on quickly which is convenient and nice. Very clean looking interface. I'm a college junior and plan to use it throughout grad school.

Best laptop I've ever owned. Build quality is top notch and performance is smooth. Battery is an absolute beast . . . getting over 10 hours easy - surfing the web, playing games, streaming movies, some work. Recommend getting more storage than 128gb. Windows system files eat about 40 gbs.

A birthday present after using my USI 100 for so long with the outdated XP. This is so much faster. It will take a while to get used to. Don't like the e-mail. Can't create a 'group' for mailing. Couldn't find a way to delete my 'deletes'. I know I'm behind the times. Don't want facebook, twitter, other social stuff. Got rid of a lot of stupid games. I like Scrabble, Mahjong, simple games. No speed joy-stick stuff. O.K. Said enough. I'll get used to it.

Good, but trying to figure out how I ended up with the 365 office when I already have it. Added extra $$ that I didn't need...still working on the kinks of that transaction.

There is an issue with the screen brightness. Often it works when I restart but after a few minutes it will no longer work.

Short Story: I was hesitant to buy this exact model because I really wanted USB-C charging without having to transport a large "brick and cord" charger. I am happy to report that the laptop charges just fine with a small, portable wall charger and a high quality USB-C cord. This is our family's 5th Dell computer and we are quite happy. The size, power, etc of this particular model is perfect for the 15 days a month I travel. The keyboard is comfortable and by dimming the screen, I can use the laptop for an entire transatlantic flight. While I don't render video on this machine, it does very well in using software such as Kinovea to analyze video frame by frame, creating presentations and documents, and of course actually watching videos when I'm done working. Perfect travel machine.

Pretty dope, only issue so far is being unable to adjust my brightness in any way (either via the function keys or the slider in the settings menu. After research, I've found a fix for it, which is manually updating the driver, but every single time I shut down or sleep the computer, windows 10 automatically re-updates the driver to the one that disables any brightness controls whatsoever, so I have to keep doing it over and over. Seems like a pretty crucial function that was somehow overlooked when shipping a brand new computer with current software. Other than that, great machine, especially for the price.

I have been using my dell xps 13 for about 2 weeks now and everything is good. The keyboard is one of the best to type in as well as the display. Only things I have noticed are that one time I tried to use it outside I could not see the screen due to the laptop not being able to get brighter. Another issue I have is when I try to log in is that it tells me that to log in with my pin is currently unavailable and gives me an error code. I do not know why it tells me this message but other than that it has been pretty good.

I did not think that I would like decreasing from a 17" to a 13.3", but I am actually satisfied.

I love this laptop. It's incredibly portable, very fast, and didn't come with a whole lot of bloatware.

Even though my existing Dell XPS 13 is able to; my new Dell XPA 13 will not connect to my HP Officejet Pro 8740 printer. I have run a trouble shooter which does not find the solution.

Everything about this computer has been good. It was easy to setup and it runs very fast. The only problem I have had is it would not connect with other computers on my home network. It said I did not have permission to view to view the other computers. I could see them but not connect. I did contact Dell Premium support and they were able to come up with a workable solution. They were able to map the data drives on the other computers to the XPS 13 so I could connect to them. Not sure why it had to be solved this way and the tech did not know either. Other than that it works great.

A compact laptop with an impressive display and an outstanding price - performance ratio if you get it with a 20% discount code. So far the only flaw evident is that keyboard dimming cannot be activated.

I bought this computer less than 7 months ago. The computer runs very slowly and has been that way since purchase. It also shutoff randomly for months before the motherboard finally gave out and the fan runs for hours at a time. The motherboard died and the computer refused to turn on. I called Dell and spent over 6 hours on the phone with them while being placed on hold many times. Apparently their computers were running very slow. Surprise surprise... I paid to expedite the repair only for them to put my machine on hold because they wanted to scam me out of another $220 + tax to repair the mother board. A part that should be covered in the warranty. The verbage on the limited warranty states that "hardware will be free from defects in materials and workmanship". Seeing as how the motherboard failure is a common issue with this product line, I do not see why this defect would not be covered by Dell. I was told that expediting my order would guarantee delivery within 3-5 business days and it is past that point.

The laptop is a killer in its segment. It is ultra portable with amazing battery life. Has a very nice edge-to-edge display and powerful specifications in a nice and small package.

I'll start by saying that I'm a college student/startup tech writer/designer and I use InDesign, Photoshop, Audition, Acrobat, and Illustrator very often. This laptop runs these programs with absolute ease. So, as you can imagine, if the system can handle such heavy programs, it can zoom right through more baseline activities, like surfing the web and using Microsoft Word and streaming movies. No problems at all. A lot of people have complained about a loud fan or a coil whine--but I don't have either of these problems. I may not have the ear for it, since I'm not a computer Batman, but I am tech savvy. I would highly recommend this laptop as a longterm investment for anyone who is on-the-go and needs a sturdy laptop that can tackle nearly everything.

It's okay. I don't like the keyboard though. It feels cheap and fragile. You'd think for the money it would be better.

Build quality is poor: the left arrow key fell off in the first week, requiring keyboard replacement. Constant video issues - artifacts from the Windows 10 UI get "stuck" on screen, etc. Brightness fluctuates constantly depending on what is on screen (this is not related to the Windows setting. The keyboard layout is horrible - particularly re: home/end/navigation. I have to put the laptop in Suspend mode before I close it. If I don't, it won't sleep properly and it will be dead the next time I open the lid. Worse still, it may decide to work on something while in my laptop bag and turn the fan on full-blast while in the bag - because it's not actually sleeping. Constant sound issues. I have to reinstall the sound card driver (through the Sound Control Panel Troubleshooting process) constantly because I lose all sound on the laptop. Random software crashes galore. The fan goes on full blast, seemingly for no reason. THE WORST computer I've ever owned.

I bought a brand-new Dell XPS 13" that has come with some complications. The first time activating the computer the mouse wouldn't work. Still it takes the occasionally reboot to get it working. The paste function has stopped working as well. It seems like a good computer, but has some baggage included

I haven't had a new laptop in 9 years. I was hesitant to give up my old one but finally had to. I looked at many laptops and finally settled on the XPS. So far, I am very happy with it. Not so pleased with Windows 10 but there it is.

Greatest laptop I've owned

The finish of this piece is just amazing, the metal body feels great. I've gotten myself the i5-7200u, Full-HD version which packs enough power for any laptop task (I've used it for office, virtualization and programming tasks and the Full HD screen is by far enough pixels on a 13" screen (you have to look really close to notice them). The battery life is just astounding, I usually get around 12 hours of ontime when browsing/reading documents and 6-8 hours under medium-load use. The only bad...

swapped from a macbook pro and could not be more happy
With Windows 8.1 - for a smooth, versatile PC experience.
The smallest 13" on the planet with the world's first infinity display
Large screen, small laptop - Infinity
The virtually borderless infinity display cleverly fits a 13-inch display into the size of an 11-inch laptop.
Impressive screen size - Infinity
The thin bezel frees up the screen space in this innovative design. The three-sided, virtually borderless infinity display measures a miniscule 5.2mm border: the thinnest frame on a notebook. With a slim bezel of less than 2% of the total display, you have more screen to love.
Thin build
Not only is the XPS 13 small, it's also stunningly thin to make it an ideal mobile companion. Thin and lightweight, it is easy to stick in your purse or bag while you are on the go.
Stunning view
Stunning UltraSharp QHD+ resolution (3200x1800)
Choose the one that gives you 5.7 million pixels (276 ppi) for the ultimate screen performance with precise clarity and eye-popping details.
Easy to share
See content clearly from almost any angle with an IGZO2 IPS panel, providing a wide viewing angle of up to 170deg. Enjoy the vibrant screen together with your friends.
Brighten your day
The screen is brilliant enough to watch movies in sunlight without missing the details. At 400-nit, it's up to 100% brighter than a typical panel (200-nit) for a great view even outside. With a high color gamut of 72% and a high contrast ratio of 1000:1, more colors are represented so you can see the brightest bright and the darkest darks.
Touch friendly
The touch display lets you interact naturally with your technology, much like you are used to with your phone or tablet. Enjoy your apps, Adobe software and OS at your fingertips.
Small size. Big performance
Start faster
Enjoy the speed, clarity and improved graphics with the new 5th Generation Intel Core processors.
Stay powered longer
With up to 15 hours of run time on the FHD display (and 11 hours on the QHD+), it's leading the industry in battery life. Paired with the Dell Power Companion, you get up to 22 hours and the freedom to power all of your bonus devices.
Speedy start up
The XPS 13 boots and resumes in seconds thanks to a standard solid state drive and Intel Rapid Start Technology.
Improved usability
Pinch, zoom and click with precision
The improved touch pad delivers the exact action you intend, every time, so no more jumping or floating cursors. It delivers fluid panning, pinching and zooming, for an experience that's touch screen-smooth and quick and similar to the gestures you are used to on screen. And with Accidental Activation Prevention, there are no more mis-clicks when your palm hits the touch pad.
See what you've been missing
This standard backlit keyboard lights up your keys and your ideas. No need to squint in low-light or no-light rooms while typing. Once you experience this added feature, you won't be able to live without it.
Premium materials for a stunning design and durability
Tough stuff
Machined aluminum construction means the XPS 13 is precision-cut from a single block of aluminum for a sturdy, durable chassis.
Cool under pressure
XPS products use carbon fiber that is similar to what is used for some of the world's high performance cars and racing bikes for a stellar combination of lightweight and strength. The palm rest is strong and thin like aluminum, but lighter and cooler to the touch.
Resists life's "oops" moments
The Corning Gorilla Glass NBT QHD+ display is up to 10 times more scratch resistant than soda lime glass, so it helps prevent scuffs caused by handling, cleaning or wiping.
Greenest XPS laptop ever
Power-efficient
It's more power-efficient than ever, enough to be ENERGY STAR 6.0 certified.
Smarter materials
Built with the environment in mind, the XPS 13 is free of concerning materials like lead, mercury and some phthalates. The greenest XPS laptop ever, it's also EPEAT Gold registered and BFR/PVC-free.
Recycle-friendly
The rapidly renewable bamboo trays are 100% recyclable, so you won't worry about your environmental footprint. And an impressive 90% of the laptop's parts can be easily recycled or reused.
Dell is serious about your privacy
Worried about Superfish? Dell limits its pre-loaded software to a small number of high-value applications on all of their computers. Each application they pre-load undergoes security, privacy and usability testing to ensure that their customers experience the best possible computing performance, faster set-up and reduced privacy and security concerns.
