I am satisfied with the visual performance of the monitor, but the sound quality and volume output are poor. I wouldn't buy again because of the poor speaker performance.

I have a 32' Dell Monitor at work that I love and use everyday. I bought this 23' Dell monitor and expected the same type of quality. Average Monitor to be honest.

We have only had this a couple of weeks, but so far it is great! This replaced a 14-year-old Dell monitor that was still going strong, but this is so much better! I love having the space to view multiple windows simultaneously. The resolution is crisp for reading all kinds of text. The images are sharp and the colors seem fine...but I haven't done much with images yet. I have not watched any type of video yet. I also have had very little use of the sound so far, but it seems fine. I did not have to make any adjustments...just plugged it in. I do have a Dell desktop, so that may have made it more seamless than it might have been with another brand. This seems like the perfect monitor for home office use! I was disappointed that my order was delayed and ended up taking 12 days to get here.

The monitor works great, but I really needed a one page setup instruction sheet to be in the box with the monitor. Upon installation, the monitor came on and wanted me to select the language and I had nothing to let me know what buttons to push to move the courser up and down. I pushed the wrong button and selected Spanish. From then on I couldn't read the popups and couldn't set anything on the monitor including the lightness/darkness of the screen! I called DELL and finally got it set up with English, but it was a hassle.

The standard keyboard isn’t made well. It quit working the second day we had it. We’re not pleased with the Dell keyboard that came with it. It should have been made better, for a Dell product.

So far am satisfied. Use for a little bit of everything. Have external speakers so can't comment too much on built in speakers, though they seem ok for simple use. Feel decent value for everyday use.

The monitor itself is fine, however the speakers that are part of the monitor are terrible. Don't waste your money of this model. Buy speakers separtely. I wish I had followed the advice of other reviewers. You can't really control the volume. Even with the sound at 100% in both the settings and on the volume control on the task bar, the sound is hard to hear and what you do hear is very tinny. Buy the model without the speakers. Otherwise a good monitor.

Monitor imagery is average. However, I used to be able to control the volume with an external knob; presently, I can use keyboard controls, a little less convenient.

Inexpensive but great display. Two notes: monitor speakers are somewhat quiet and the monitor has tilt but no up / down adjustment.

Perfect size for my desk with an extremely clear picture. The frame is much smaller than my last 23 inch monitor which is also a Dell and was over 6 years old.

the size is great and the picture is clear. i don't like the fact that the monitor can not be mounted on a monitor arm, it doesn't have the four holes in the back. another reason for the dislike, the monitor Does Not Swivel or is it not Adjustable.

My previous monitor was 12(?) years old. It wasn't a CRT, but any new monitor would be an upgrade. My biggest complaint (so far -- I only set up my computer two days ago) is that you can't adjust the *horizontal* angle of the screen. You can only tilt it towards you or away from you. So if your work surface isn't level, you can't compensate for the slope by adjusting the level of the screen. Nor can you adjust the height. I do like how lightweight the screen is, and how much the screen reaches towards the edges of the housing (very little "margin" around the screen).

I am enjoying the Dell 23 Monitor and my wife too. It is easy to use and the picture is clear. We do not video so it was not important for us. We have a very good size, picture and settings.

The monitor is very sharp with quality color and contrast. It is adjustable vertically which is good, but a tightening knob would be good to make sure that it stays at the height you want. There are some adjustment controls on the bottom right end side. There could be better instructions included with the monitor about its use. Overall the Dell monitors are very good, and previous ones that I've owned last a long time.

I have found Dell monitors to be excellent in picture and performance. Our household has been using Dell monitors exclusively for several years. They perform flawlessly. This particular monitor was purchased for my wife when I bought her a new Dell desktop computer to replace her laptop that crashed however, it was several years old. The built in speakers are ok but not great. They are suitable for her listening needs though since she doesn't listen to music on her computer.

The first monitor had a red line across the center, which Dell replaced with no complaints. It's very space efficient, as the image goes to within a 1/4" of the edge. The monitor is very clear, and I especially like the nighttime mode setting. I have external speakers, so I have not tried the monitor audio yet.

I bought this about a month ago and don't care much for the speakers that are built into the monitor. As far as the monitor its self it seems to be of good quality and very clear.

Bought this model a week ago, first impressions are really good. Bright screen with great looking colors in a very attractive design for a fair price. The only drawback is a moderate light bleeding in the down right corner, noticeable on a dark background.
