If you are flying this drone as intended you are going to crash and break things. Make sure you have insurance. Most other DJI drones i think you don't need insurance but you will with the avata 2.

If you are honest about drone flying, YOU WILL CRASH eventually. This is very cheap "insurance" in the event anything goes awry. You get TWO total drone replacements/yr. This is much better than paying a thousand bucks for drone replacement, eh?!

This is my first drone so I am very careful while flying. I have taken it out for several flights. The range is much less than advertised. I guess it is less than a mile. Otherwise, it is easy to navigate once you get familiar with the controls and operate in a shady location so you can see the screen. The Return to Home function is nice for the newbie. Image quality is excellent! Shoot RAW for stills. I think it is an excellent value and recommend the accessory pack with 2 extra batteries.

What an advancement DVI has made with the Mavic 2. The controller is unbelievable and makes everything so much easier while not using up your phone battery. Word of warning for the DJI Care Refresh, you HAVE to wait to register your drone WHEN you are ready to register the DJI Care Refresh. The DJI Care Refresh HAS to be done within 48 hours of registering the drone. Otherwise you HAVE to follow a RIDICULOUS series of steps while filmming everything you are doing WITHOUT stoping the filming. Adorama wasn't able to send me the DJI Care Refresh till about a week later than the drone. I wasn't aware of the 48 hour rule. I was very upset but Adorama made it right so I am giving ADORAMA a 5 star rating. NOT DJI.
