It's like flying on yout drone.

Works good with my Phantom 4 and Mavic Air. Worked right out of the box. You can not beat using these in bright day light. Would buy again.

Unique view point but a bit queasy

Although the form of the headset feels awkward on your head, it is the feel of the motion that limits it use. When you move with the drone, it feels jerky and when you use the head tracking, that is when the vertigo kicks in, for some, more than others. The gimbal-only tracking mode is more responsive so it feels better than the head tracking mode which allows you to steer the whole drone with your head, but with a lag which causes the motion sickness. It offers a very unique and nice view point, like you are flying, but the apparent distances become very far, very quickly. When the drone is only 50m out, it looks like you are 500m away! The only way to really see things in flight and feel like a bird, is by zooming (max 2x) and then flying dangerously close to things. You really have to practice, but it is definitely worth it. I guess that is why the Mavic 2 now offers a zoom feature. The colors in the view-port appear a bit washed out, not as nice as in a 35mm camera view finder. Having said all this, it is still very definitely worth getting the goggles. The only reason for my 4 star rating is just that I think I had unrealistic expectations.

OK, but...

I'm a big fan of DJI, but the FPV headset was a bit of a disappointment. It works as advertised, but eyeglass wearers will need to buy a set of diopter slide on lenses from DJI ad the unit in its standard configuration leave a lot to be desired for folks with glasses. The diopter lenses are expense, heavy, and very thick. They slide onto the built in optics and if you're not careful, you'll lose them. Also, the diopter lenses come VERY close to your eyeglasses when installed, so beware. Other than this, the unit works well and provides the POV experience promised. If I had to do it over again knowing what I know now, I would look elsewhere for a headset.

Limited use for Phantom

I will say that the view from the goggles is truly immersive. But those contemplating using it on anything else than a Mavic Pro might want to take a second thought before buying, First, you have to connect with a USB cable. Not really much of a problem since we are used to connecting our tablets, but now the goggles take the place of the tablet and the version of DJI Go built into the goggles is a crippled version. Many features will be missing. Then another major disappointment cropped up the first time I used the goggles. Everything was going along swimmingly until I bumped into distance and altitude restrictions. I thought there was some kind of beginner mode enabled, but there was no way to turn it off in the crippled Go app. Apparently, the only way get around the altitude.distance restrictions is to connect the drone to the Go app on a phone or tablet before connecting the goggles, being sure not to shut the Phantom down. Not a very elegant solution in my opinion.

Great....but

Great piece of gear when used with the drone it was designed for which is the Mavick Pro. With any other drone, it's capabilities are limited. I wear glasses with trifocals and the Goggles don't work well with them. Put on an old pair of reading glasses and they work fine.

Steep learning curve but worth it

Like most of the DJI products, this comes with a minimum of instructions and yo need to go to their website to watch videos on how to set these up to be used. But using them makes the problem with viewing the camera on my Mavic disappear. It is hard to see the iPhone screen in the bright sunlight but this removes that problem completely. I love using these.

Great goggles!

Goggles complete the DJI Mavic experience. Setup was super easy and they are easy to use. My 10 year old granddaughter flies the drone like a pro using them. I use the goggles with reading glasses with no problems. Another awesome DJI product!

Fantastic resolution and great interface

First flight using the goggles was fantastic. My old fpv goggles were like looking through a screen door. These are like sitting in the cockpit and flying.

Very high quality google for the price... Lots of adjustments and comfortable to wear over long period. IMO diopter adjustment should be added in the future

great goggles but not for me

the goggles itself are great. I tried them with the Mavic and they pair easily and controlling the Mavic via head tracking and changing certain settings via the touchpad works great. However, they are not for me. I typically don't wear glasses but need them occasionally for near-distance reading. Since the LCD inside the goggles is very near, I need my glasses all the time which is something I'm simply not used to so it gives me a headache. Also - and I should have figured this out sooner - I really like the Mavic because it is small and portable. Travels easily. not so the goggles, they are bulky and hard to carry so they make the whole 'Mavic bundle' a lot less travel friendly. So while I can 100% recommend the goggles itself, make sure they fit how you use your drone

Phantom4 skids are visible when looking left/right in gimbal mode

Using the goggles with my Phantom4 Pro (also used them with a Mavic Pro). Immersive viewing/flying is amazing. I recommend sitting down when flying, a little disorientating at first. Especially nice to have with high-brightness conditions, like a beach video taping surfers (hand-held devices in these conditions are difficult, even with a sun-blocker sheild). One thing I'll mention is for the Phantom4, the skids are visible when looking far left/right in gimbal mode (Mavic does not have this problem). This is problematic when shooting professionally. I'm sure I could mod the skids (or maybe a mod skid replacement is available). Because of this, I'm selling the goggles to a colleague who has the Mavic Pro.

Very comfortable and easy to use

DJI Goggles combines a pair of large ultra-high-quality screens, long-range and low-latency wireless connectivity, and direct control of photo and video capture. Operators using a Mavic Pro or Phantom 4 series drone can also access many intelligent flight features using a touchpad on the side of the visor.

High-Quality Optics, Low Latency Transmission
DJI Goggles use a beam splitter to display an image in front of each eye, as well as polarization to prevent any image overlap. This creates full HD 1920x1080 resolution per screen, providing more than twice the amount of pixels of a typical 2K display. Wearing the DJI Goggles is like looking at a 216" home cinema screen placed about three meters away. Through DJI's OcuSync wireless transmission system, up to two pairs of DJI Goggles can be connected to a single Mavic Pro aircraft. DJI Goggles can receive video data directly from the drone bypassing the controller to minimize lag. When flying with the Mavic Pro, DJI Goggles offers both 720p at 60 fps and close range 1080p at 30 fps viewing with latency as low as 110ms.

Fully Immersive Experience. Total Control.
A touchpad integrated into DJI Goggles makes navigating the internal menu system simple, providing easy access to key intelligent flight features such as ActiveTrack, TapFly, Terrain Follow, Cinematic Mode and Tripod Mode. In Fixed Wing Mode, DJI Goggles bring with them a whole new way to fly the Mavic Pro. In this mode, the aircraft flies forward with enough rotational movement to simulate realistic flight. An AR trajectory prediction feature in Fixed Wing Mode makes using this mode much safer in complex environments.

Head Tracking, a feature on DJI Goggles, allows operators using a Mavic Pro or Phantom 4 series aircraft to use head movements to control both aircraft yaw and camera tilt. Turning your head is like moving the control sticks - turn left, or right to yaw left or right, and straighten your head to stop the turn. Another option is using DJI Goggles to control the gimbal exclusively, while the aircraft operator maintains control of the aircraft with the master controller. Combined with Fixed Wing Mode, you can use your head to control the Mavic Pro for an immersive flight experience.

Operators should always follow local regulations for FPV flight, and it is recommended to use a spotter to help monitor the surrounding airspace.

Ergonomic Design with Comfort in Mind
A stable headband design balances and spreads the weight DJI Goggles around the head, minimizing pressure on the face and maximizing comfort. DJI Goggles allows the operator to flick between third person view and FPV in a matter of seconds. Operators can even wear glasses inside and quit FPV mode instantly by flipping the visor up so they can see the aircraft and their surroundings. The screen and headband can be detached for ease of portability and storage.

Connecting Your Devices
A range of interfaces are built into DJI Goggles, allowing them to work with different devices. DJI Goggles can sync with the Mavic Pro via DJI's OcuSync transmission system, while the Phantom 4, Phantom 4 Advanced, Phantom 4 Pro, and Inspire 2 drones can connect via the controller's USB port. An onboard Micro SD Card allows operators to download files from the aircraft to the goggles or review video files on the spot. Additionally, the HDMI input allows DJI Goggles to connect to a video device for watching films and even playing video games.

DJI Goggles' first-person viewing experience works with DJI aerial platforms including the Mavic Pro, Phantom 4 series, and Inspire series (intelligent flight features using the touchpad vary with each model of aircraft). On a full charge, DJI Goggles are fully operational for a maximum of six hours.
