The microphone features omnidirectional audio recording and is optimized for vocals. With the 2-person system, you can easily tackle interviews, vlogs, or other multi-person scenarios. Furthermore, you benefit from dual-channel recording and can record audio from the two transmitters independently or mix them into a single track.

While recording the main audio, you can record a safety track at a lower volume (-6 dB) than the main track. This is a safety measure against spikes in audio levels that may sometimes appear. It’s a great feature for recording in concert halls and other unpredictable environments.

You can attach the transmitters to clothing using the built-in back clip or the clip magnets, or hold them in your hand like a regular microphone. If you prefer the ultra-discreet lavalier look, you can plug an external wired lavalier microphone into the transmitter's 3.5mm microphone input.

DJI Mic 2 has a range of 820 feet (250 meters) in open environments, and its anti-interference capabilities ensure you'll get clear audio even in environments where many signals are present, such as press events or concerts. The sound communication is secured via DJI's encryption technology. You can monitor the recording's quality by plugging headphones into the receiver's 3.5mm output.

The DJI Mic 2 is part of the DJI OsmoAudio ecosystem and directly connects to Osmo cameras. At the same time, it connects to smartphones (iOS and Android) via Bluetooth and can work with their third-party video apps. The microphone also has its own app, DJI Mimo, for quick transfers and remote settings, such as enabling 32-bit float audio recording to the transmitter or noise cancellation.

The microphone is compatible with many camera models to which it connects via a 3.5mm TRS cable. It also comes with built-in gain presets tailored to specific camera models so that you can set up the system in a single tap.
