Even though it requires a bit of learning, maybe as much as an SLR camera on manual mode, the ease of operation and pictures are totally worth it. You get a very unique perspective on your pictures and videos. The product is great. My wife's only complaint is that when everything is charging, it looks like an airport runway at night :)

Small and versatile! Excellent DJI drone for general use and as a sidekick for any photographer. This lightweight drone folds up beautifully and fits into any medium/large camera bag. Cold start-up is fast and flight time is excellent. Though a couple extra batteries are nice to have.

This is way better than the 100 dollars drone he got as a present. The reason I picked the combo version it's because its suitable for an outdoor person like him. I'm so happy that I bought this Drone with me while on vacation overseas in the Philippines. I was so amazed on how great the photos and videos came out in 4K. The drone was so easy to fly right off the bat. It has a robust build and the battery life is extended due to the new quieter propeller design. I'm also glad that my kit came with the landing pad and extended landing attachments which helps raise the drone and protect the gimbal/camera assembly. I didn't use the included backpack and bought seperate protective containers for the drone, controller and batteries instead, but I'm using the backpack now for storage. I did my homework before making my purchase and the Mavic Pro was hands-down the most reliable drone to fly when comparing with the smaller Mavic Air. The determining factor that led me to choose the Mavic Pro over the Mavic Air was the occusync communications. I didn't want to risk losing my drone over poor connection using unreliable enhanced WiFi that the Air uses. I like the smaller, compact size of Air, but the controller for the Air lacks the information and LCD readout that the Mavic Pro has.

Nice quadcopter- easy to fly and takes great videos/photos. Very stable. I was contemplating about purchasing the Mavic Air but that drone does not have occusync. I took this toy with me overseas to the Philippines and captured great videos and pictures. No issues whatsover with airport bringing in the drone through security. However if you choose so, you need to bring it through in your carry-on luggage including your lithium batteries and controller.

I love my DJI Mavic Pro Platinum, but it's not all roses. The included instructions are very vague and the online information is not much better. I have had to send mine back due to the Remote Control not coming on. I tried everything I could think of, and tried DJI's suggested remedies, but no success. In DJI's defense, they were willing to replace it, but said it would be faster sending it back to Adorama, which I did 10 days ago but have not heard anything back on it. I had to send the entire package back because the Remote is tied to the actual drone. I did fly the drone from the phone app and loved it. Very stable in the wind. I will continue to purchase DJI products.

I'm a beginner with the drone but when I used it, it was very easy to use. I was worried that it would be somewhat uncontrollable or needing to hold it in place. I was surprised that this thing if you just do nothing, it stays in one place. So cool

I've taken pictures with a very nice Nikon D800 for many years. I've always been interested in aerial photography, but just didn't have the right equipment. I have a pilot's license and for a while, I even owned a plane, but just never could get the vision and the photos to meet. Drones that take good pictures were cost prohibitive and the learning curve to fly them was steep. Until now. The Mavic Pro (Platinum) has given me new confidence and a new tool in my bag. The pictures and the video produced by this drone is phenomenal (when the operator learns to set things up correctly...still have a learning curve here). I'm by no means experienced or familiar with all the things I need to be to make this drone even start to produce what it is capable of; the limiting factor for me is me. Still, it will just about fly itself in most situations. My ability to control it is basically only limited by my imagination. This is not a toy and never should be treated as such. I purchased a smaller, faster drone without a camera and have been using it to learn to fly these type of craft with more precision. When people watch me fly the Mavic, they are fooled into thinking that the skill is mine. The credit belongs to DJI and this wonderful new photo friend who stays with me or in my truck now anytime I go out to shoot pictures. Highly recommend this. I've heard a Mavic 2 is in the works, so will be excited to see what's next.

This is the 2nd drone I purchased from Adorama. Great price, quality product. Came in a few different shipments but that is understandable. ONLY PROBLEM, the spare battery is a totally different color than the drone or the first battery. When I contacted customer service they wanted me to send pictures of the shipment and a lot of other stuff. OVER A BATTERY??? Just send me the correct battery and I'll return the wrong one. That would be great customer service. I'm not jumping through hoops just to exchange a battery. I will just take my business elsewhere.

I am a new drone flyer and it's a great product. The bundle i purchased were great enough for beginner. You can really get some beautiful image. It's powerful. I wish I had purchase the Oculus Rift. I lost my drone twice and couldn't see it clearly through my Google 6P.

The DJI Mavic Pro Platinum is a fantastic machine for beginners like myself. I learned to fly on a full size RC helicopter and I gave up as too stressful for me. The Mavic is easy to fly, fun to maneuver, and takes great photos and videos. I especially like the footprint when it’s folded up; I can carry the entire kit in a small backpack. The GPS and positioning system are truly remarkable to hold the Mavic steady in the air while you work the DJI Go 4 app for the vast amount of features the quadcopter can do.
