I've been wanting a drone for a while and this seemed like a great way to get started. Great value for an entry level drone. Pretty sure I'll be adding another more advanced drone to my kit soon.

A complete failure because the cell phone and remote controller never recognized each other. And your service crew tried to help, but I got zero results. Drone powered up, but since the software loaded into the cell phone could not talk to the remote, I do not know whether or not it worked. The DJI Mavic Mini is no longer being made.

CANT SAY ENOUGH POSITIVE ABOUT IT. MY OTHER DRONE WAS MY PHANTOM 3 PRO AND THE RESULTS WITH THIS MINI ARE SO COMPARABLE

The mavic mini is an amazing drone with outstanding video feed.... Just don't forget to purchase the care refresh package within I think it's 24 hours of activating your drone.

Takes great videos and pictures unless he’s a professional photographer. Then they get much more expensive

The drone: The five star reviews here say it all, but what hasn't been mentioned enough here is the fabulous technology they packed into this super cool featherweight drone. It can hover absolutely still in wind, and the 3 settings for speed/power make it easier to shoot great cinematic video gigage. The Mavic Mini is great for beginners, because it is so responsive, and if no joystick movements are happening it stops in it's tracks and freezes right there until the pilot gets it together and gets it going again. The Fly More Combo package: The software that comes in the flymore pack is allright, but if you already have video/image processing software you like, you won't likely need any that's included. You'll rarely get a chance to use your second and third batteries because of the need to recharge the controller and the device before the drone's battery ever goes dead, especially if you have an older iPhone for your piloting device due to that iPhone's battery and its tendency to drain quickly. Also, I can imagine no scenario where anyone would attach the propeller guards to their drone, but those are included as well as a drone holster-like thing that I still haven't figured out how to use after owning it for almost 2 months. The case is excellent, as is the travel bag and the instant helipad. The optics cleaning kit looks A-OK and I'm sure the extra prop blades and joystick knobs will come in handy at some point too. So it's still a really good deal.

Love the mavic mini from the beginning. Easy to use. Compact. No fuzz. Fly and shoot. I’m sure the Mavic Mini 2 is great. But the mavic mini can hold its own. I still like the idea I can put the controller and mini in my pocket. Its the reason why I got the mavic mini in the first place.

This Drone is fantastic, I did buy it just before the Mini 2 came out, but I am not dissapointed with the purchase, its a great beginner drone and if you dont need 4k and follow-me tracking you wont be dissapointed.

As a drone beginner, I was a little overwhelmed and nervous about which drone to buy. Seeing a lot of reviews on the Mavic Mini, I liked that I didn't need to worry about registering it, while keeping a high quality image. My friends are amazed that this drone can make low quality areas look nicer than they are. I would recommend this drone.

I am not a professional reviewer, and I bought this drone and paid for it on my own, with no promise of compensation from either Adorama or DJI (in case anyone might be wondering). I bought this drone a little over a month ago and, since that time, I have had several chances to put it to the test, and have come away very impressed with its capabilities, particularly when taking into account the size, weight and price. As a little backstory, I am a professional photographer, focusing mostly on sports, portrait and event photography. I had wanted to expand into offering some video and drone footage to my clients, as well. Previously, I had bought several other cheaper drones on which I could practice flying before moving up to a more expensive unit. Ultimately, I had always had my eye on picking up a DJI drone, but wanted to make sure that I had some experience flying first. As it turns out, I probably didn't have to worry. Compared to the other drones I have bought, this DJI Mavic Mini is a breeze to fly! Take off and initialization through the DJI Fly app is nearly foolproof, and I was flying within literally minutes after receiving my Mavic Mini. The video footage I was seeing from this little drone was stunning, especially compared to the cheaper drones I had been using. Footage shot with the Mavic Mini is clear and very stable, with good contrast. Since this is the original Mavic Mini, it is limited to a max resolution of 2.7k, but that's enough for my needs at this time. Also, DJI have just released their new Mini 2 drone, which shoots in full 4k, should you absolutely need that capability. The new Mini 2 also is capable of shooting raw images, which as a photographer, is something I would appreciate. The original Mavic Mini can only shoot still images in jpeg format, which is a bit of a limitation, but not an absolute deal-breaker for me at this time, especially since I do plan on purchasing a Mavic Air 2 within the next year. Anyway, back to the Mavic Mini. For my first big flight, I took it out to a local political rally to shoot some footage for a friend who was running a booth at the event. The event was held on a fairly windy day, with winds running about 18 - 22 mph, and gusting up to nearly 30pmh. They were blown away when I showed them the video I was able to capture with this little drone! Thanks to the stability of the gimble, and the ability of the Mavic Mini to hold a stable position, even in fairly strong winds, I was able to capture plenty of clear, steady, usable footage. The Mavic Mini is small, extremely light and packable. Easy to take with you anywhere. This is a drone that can go with you anywhere you go, to capture scenes you might miss, if you only have a larger drone and can't (or don't want to)pack it with you everywhere. Flight time is advertised at 30 minutes. I have not tested it to the limits of that rating, but I did have it in the air for nearly 20 minutes on a windy day before I got to 30% on the battery strength, so i would say that the flight time is certainly adequate for its intended purposes. Downsides of the original Mavic Mini include lack of 4k video, lack of raw support, and lack of Occusync, all of which have been corrected with the new DJI Mini 2, I understand. Neither the original Mavic Mini or the Mini 2 have obstacle avoidance sensors though, so you still do have to be careful where you fly. Overall, while the new DJI Mini 2 corrects some of the original Mavic Mini's shortcomings, the original Mini remains an extremely good value for the money.

was having difficulty in choosing what brand and what was important in a first time drone purchase. i asked my son in law who has several drones and uses them for work and play. he told me that the DJI was the company to look at and what were the important features to look for. although i wasnt thinking of paying $500 for a drone but i found that the cost vs. the features were very competitive with other brands. since i got the drone (direct from DJI) which was very seamless and quick, i have found the simplicity and user friendly features are just what i needed. there are great tutorials on the platform as well as youtube from users of the product. i am still learning but have no fear of crashing or losing the drone. highly recommend the product.. have a few suggestions for improvements but thats for another day!

This is a great drone to get started. While not 4K the videos from it still look clear and crisp and I'm impressed with the photo quality. There's enough detail there to make posters probably. Definitely enough detail to get great instagram photos.

The DJI magic mini is wonderful. But my review is based on the company. Adorama. They go above and beyond my expectations during every step of buying. You won't have to guess when your item is going to arrive. They send multiple updates. If you have questions they answer immediately, and if you have any problem at any point they go to any length to solve it. My business will stay with this company.

I was skeptical about the camera's quality when compared to the larger models, but not disappointed. I recommend looking up comparison footage to see the difference.

WHAT TO DO BEFORE USING THE DJI MAVIC MINI! IT COULD SAVE YOU FROM LOSING IT.
By JIMMY P.
I'm normally not the review type of guy, but after playing with the DJI Mavic Mini. I felt I had to give my input on it. First I love that it is so small and portable to take with you anywhere. After flying drones for the last 5-8 years. I figure this drone wouldn't be any different than the rest. I was wrong, with this drone you feel invincible, let me explain. I normally use my DJI MAVIC AIR, so I'm used to knowing when to be careful. This Lil guy doesn't make you feel that way, instead, it...

The compact yet powerful Mavic Mini is the perfect creative companion, capturing your moments in a way that effortlessly elevates the ordinary. Together with the easy-to-use DJI Fly app, you’ll enjoy a simplified flying experience and a perspective unlike any other.
Almost as light as a smartphone.
Weighing under 250 grams, Mavic Mini is almost as light as the average smartphone. This makes it exceptionally portable and places it in the lowest and safest weight class of drones, which in many countries may exempt it from certain regulations. For example, in the United States and Canada, you can fly Mavic Mini without the need to register your drone with the government. [1]
Get good. Fast.
The new DJI Fly app offers a simple and intuitive user experience, enabling you to create cinematic shots with just a few taps. It even has Flight Tutorial, a feature to help you get started with Mavic Mini quickly and safely.
Worry less, fly more.
Mavic Mini comes equipped with a 360° Propeller Guard that fully protects the propellers and improves flight safety. [5] Thanks to its downward vision sensing system and GPS, Mavic Mini can also hover precisely both indoors and outdoors.
Let the app do the work.
The DJI Fly app offers a variety of Creator Templates that generate awesome videos with just a tap. Even beginners with no editing experience whatsoever can turn any moment into a social media hit.
Transform any moment into a work of art.
Mavic Mini supports 12MP aerial photos and 2.7K Quad HD videos. A 3-axis motorized gimbal provides superior camera stability and ensures clear, ultra-smooth footage.
See what your Mavic Mini sees.
A dedicated remote controller maintains an HD, low-latency video feed at a distance of up to 4 km. [3] Detachable control sticks can be easily stored inside the remote controller for added portability.
Less battery charging, more flying.
Mavic Mini’s weight allows it to stay in the air longer than similar consumer FlyCams on the market. Enjoy up to 30 minutes of flight time with a fully-charged battery.
Complex shots are easier than ever.
Shots that look like they came from a Hollywood film set are just a few taps away with Mavic Mini’s QuickShot modes, which include Dronie, Circle, Helix, and Rocket. Just select your QuickShot and Mavic Mini will execute an elaborate preset motion while recording. Take the automatically generated short video and share it instantly with friends on social media.
Smoother motion for compositions that wow.
Slow down Mavic Mini’s flight speed and movements for an added layer of precision and stability. This mode is especially useful when flying in narrow or complex spaces.
Find scenic shooting locations near you.
The DJI Fly app gives users integrated access to SkyPixel, a social media platform for users to share their aerial photos and videos. Browse work, share your own, and even discover popular aerial photography spots in your area.
