I?ve started my own video and photo studio and this piece is making my life/work so much easier! Even the case it comes with is sturdy and nice and therefore I saved on getting a ?proper? one! It is a bit on the heavier side, but works great and does what it?s made for perfectly! I recommend it honestly!

Love this gimbal so far! Pros: - Easy setup -Easy to learn - Essentials kit has everything you need not extra things you might not even use - Premium feel. Even the plastic tripod accessory feels great I don’t think I’ll need to upgrade to the metal one. - Gpc case houses the ronin perfectly - Gpc case has room for extra accessories Cons: - The kit doesn’t come with a power adapter just a usb-c cable to charge the system. Not a deal breaker just would’ve been nice to add. Overall, I love this gimbal and I know it’s something I’m going to use for a long time. The shots I can create with this are endless. I definitely recommend getting the essentials kit however the Go Professional case is not necessarily needed. The kit comes with a decent case on its own. The Go Professional case is for someone who travels with their gear a lot and needs the added protection that it offers.

This was purchased to replace a previously purchased different model/mfg unit. The first one conflicted with the size of the camera and had trouble with the weight of the camera/lens we wanted to use for vlogging. This one handled the combination with ease and I think it could handle much more weight than even our setup. Happy with the unit.

I am a first time user for Dji's Gimbal. I only gave this 4/5 star rating because my packaging looks like its been beat up and I thought the gimbal would be broken. However, everything came that was listed for the essential kit. It took me awhile to balance everything but YouTube/Google really helped. All the motors worked well and the app connections went smoothly. So far no problems! Wished it came with wires to connect with my camera but the wires are like $20? If you buy the Standard kit, some of the stuff you won't need and it would cost you more!

Easy to setup with my rig (gh5 in smallrig cage with sigma 18-35). Only downside is the weight. This is the only gimbal I’ve owned though, so I don’t have anything to compare it to.

This gimbal is great keeping shots steady; however, calibrating each axis is extremely difficult starting out. The app is great and always connects.

The DJI Ronin S is a great gimbal, even in 2020. It can balance all sorts of cameras with different weight distributions with much ease, though I have to note that it prefers heavier cameras in general. I can balance the Sony A6xxx line of cameras with no difficulty, though due to the light weight of the Sony mirrorless lines the Ronin S cannot be used to its full potential without adding additional accessories or weights. The balancing of lighter cameras on the Ronin S forces the gimbal to be set up on the "farther" lengths on all axis's, causing the gimbal to block itself from swinging all the way side to side. If you have bigger and heavier cameras though, the DJI Ronin S works like a dream. The stabilization of the Ronin S is amazing, even to this day. But it's best that you have arm strength and don't suffer from arm fatigue. The Ronin S is heavy. If you can handle heavy items and have heavier cameras, then the Ronin S is really quite the versatile beast.

Great gimbal. Easily set up and balanced on the go. Simple app which connects to the gimbal seamlessly. It’s is easy to use and configure the the gimbal through the app. I tried it with all my lenses (20mm tamron, 24-70GM, 50mm Sigma, 35mm Sigma) Balancing was super easy for all the lenses & the gimbal was able to handle all the lenses with no problems.

My fault for ordering the Essentials Kit! Does not include the 24W USB Power Adapter, Cables for connecting your camera, Focus Wheel, Accessories Box and Allen wrenches. Also I had to order an extra cover plate for the 8-pin connector plate from Repair after ordering the Focus Wheel which covered one 8-pin connector.(8-pin connector on both sides of the battery/grip). Best to order the Ronin S with all pieces and parts. I assumed "essentials" meant it contained everything you would need to get started. No savings when you have to order the missing components separately. Otherwise you will love this gimbal!

This product is quite powerful for someone who is a one-man-show cinematographer. It allows for more variety in the shots they can pull off. You can sprint with this thing. It is almost silent can be adapted for most rigs. I would highly recommend this. I contemplated getting the Ronin SC but this product is more future proof, as it can hold a heavier payload.
