I've always been a fan of DJI gimbals. I've had the SC2 and the RS3 Mini, but neither compare to this RS4 Pro. I needed something larger for my FX6 and this is perfect. Handles that and my A7 cameras no problem. It's extremely easy to balance with the micro adjustments and the auto-locking feature is a welcome addition. If you're thinking about a gimbal I say go for this one.

It has taken me a day or two to really test this DJI RS 4 Pro, and I am really happy with it thus far. My experience with DJI Gimbals is extensive. I began by using a Ronin M. I adored the gimbal, but I detest the batteries and the nightmares they cause. The Ronin S, which has the same form factor as this gimbal, is what I later bought. Although I like the Ronin S, there were a few usability flaws that I didn't love. The RS 4 Pro is now out, and I have to admit that it has been significantly improved in every manner. Axis locks are DYNAMITE in nature. Compared to the earlier generations, this one is quite lightweight. There is an excellent feature set. I apologize for not

I love this gimbal. I could fit with no problem my Canon c70 on it, with a 70-200mm.
The DJI RS 4 Pro is a cinematographer's dream camera stabilizer, offering vertical shooting finesse for social media content creators and heavy-capacity tools for filmmakers. Its dual motors and LiDAR autofocus cater to photographers and videographers craving precision. DJI crafted this for pros who demand seamless control and crisp content, all in one convenient package.
This next generation native vertical shooting feature of the DJI RS 4 Pro is a direct nod to the vertical video trend sweeping through social media. It’s specifically designed to make capturing content in portrait mode not just easier, but with enhanced functionality.
It’s a smart update, acknowledging the content needs for creators and offering a polished solution for those aiming to captivate their audience with content in tune with trends.
The DJI RS 4 Pro is a gimbal stabilizer that elevates your filming arsenal with a hefty 4.5kg payload capacity, outmuscling its classic counterpart, the DJI RS 4. This boost is not just in the weight it can carry but also in the brawn of its motors, which have been amped up by 20%. This means because of carbon fiber axis arms, professional-grade cameras see the RS 4 Pro as a strong partner.
The roll axis now has dual rolling bearings, facilitating easier adjustments.
All three axes feature a Teflon™ coating with a low friction coefficient, ensuring smooth balancing even when mounting heavy cameras.
When switching cameras or lenses, a fine-tuning knob on the tilt axis allows you to move the camera forward or backward, achieving precise, millimeter-level balancing.
The upper quick-release plate has added an adjustable placement guide to prevent the camera from loosening or shifting.
The OLED touchscreen incorporates a new auto-lock feature, preventing accidental touches during shooting. When the screen is locked, it can still display the current gimbal and joystick modes at a low brightness, reducing power consumption.
With the next-generation automated axis locks, DJI RS 4 Pro can quickly start working or enter sleep mode, significantly enhancing shooting, transition, and storage efficiency. In addition, the axis locks have been upgraded to achieve smaller gaps, further reducing gimbal shakes when locked.
DJI RS 4 Pro features a 20% increase in motor torque across three axes, offering greater power redundancy once balanced. This ensures that the gimbal remains responsive and accurate in its tracking movements, even with heavy cameras or multiple accessories. Additionally, it provides sufficient power to support gimbal stabilization in various shooting scenarios.
The new Car Mount mode optimizes the gimbal stabilization algorithm based on vehicle vibrations and wind resistance data, enabling steady capture even in shaky conditions.
The next-generation RS stabilization algorithm has been comprehensively optimized for different usage scenarios. It strikes a superior balance between stabilization strength and the tactile feel of camera movement, delivering both excellent stabilization performance and an enhanced user experience. Additionally, RS 4 Pro provides significantly enhanced stability in vertical shooting, easily mastering dynamic shots like running or low-angle perspectives.
The Next-Gen ActiveTrack Pro on the DJI RS 4 Pro is powered by the latest Focus Pro LiDAR and smart AI algorithms. This ensures the three-axis DJI gimbal keeps a firm lock on subjects, never losing track, even if they momentarily disappear.
It's especially adept in crowded scenes or when your focal point is a bit off in the distance, maintaining focus and tracking with remarkable precision and reliability. Whether you're filming an athlete or a group dance session, ActiveTrack Pro makes sure everyone stays in sharp focus, capturing the action without a hiccup.
The Dual Focus & Zoom Motor feature on the DJI RS 4 Pro is a game-changer for filmmakers seeking razor-sharp precision without the crowd. Imagine dialing in the perfect focus and zoom without needing someone physically at the camera. This allows for remote adjustments, giving your productions that polished, precise look with just a few clicks. Whether it’s a subtle zoom or a critical focus shift in the heat of the action, this feature means you're always in control, no extra hands required.
DJI Focus Pro ushers in innovative LiDAR autofocus technology and introduces a high-precision magnetic-damping manual control unit: Focus Pro Hand Unit.
In collaborative team shooting, the gimbal operator can control the RS 4 Pro gimbal through devices such as DJI Master Wheels, DJI Ronin 4D Hand Grips, and DJI High-Bright Remote Monitor. The focus puller can also enable LiDAR Waveform on the High-Bright Remote Monitor for intelligent focus assistance to enable more precise control with the Focus Pro Hand Unit.
DJI RS 4 Pro adopts Dual-Mode Bluetooth technology and supports wireless shutter and wireless zoom control. After switching joystick mode to zoom control, cinematographers can use the joystick to perform Power Zoom for PZ lenses as well as Clear Image Zoom.
The trigger function can be customized to FPV mode, where pressing and holding the trigger makes the gimbal's three axes follow the direction of the grip's movement. This is particularly useful for shooting rotational footage or simulating POV.
Toggle to instantly switch the gimbal mode between PF, PTF, and FPV. You can also replace FPV mode with 3D Roll 360 mode or Custom mode based on your preference and shooting requirements, ensuring a seamless operation.
With the new Focus Pro LiDAR and Motor, RS 4 Pro gives solo creators a more accurate and intelligent LiDAR autofocus experience at greater distances.
