For awhile I tried using plastic tongs, way back in the day, but you can't match the reliability of the rubber tipped bamboo tong

Frankly, I bought these because they were the cheapest I could find. They work as well as any others I've had.

The rubber tips on these tongs cause less damage to prints than the metal or plastic tongs. The wood eventually rots and/or the rubber tips fall off. The serve the purpose, but need to be replaced when they wear out.

Not a bad product, but you get what you pay for. The tips are soft so they don't scratch the paper, but the tips do pop off rather easily.

It is essential to have enough tongs so you do not cross contaminate your chemicals. The ends are color coded. These compact tongs a perfect if you have a small darkroom and you do not want to fill your work area with clutter. Well made of quality materials. They fit well in small hands and are not cumbersome.

I have bought these for a photography club I teach, consisting of 13 and 14 year olds. They get frustrated when the tong fall apart or warp to the point of being useless. Years ago they seemed to be made much better but the quality has dropped (yes, there was some quality originally) to the point that they would not make good kindling for my fireplace

I work in a photo department for a University and these tongs are terrible for group darkroom purposes. The tongs fall apart and the pieces are everywhere and get lost. I am ordering new sets and throwing these away.

Before the digital revolution, the art of photo processing was a craft mastered by every DIY photographer, and the Bamboo Print Processing Tongs from Adorama were an essential tool in every darkroom. These tongs, featuring color-coded rubber tips, are designed to withstand the corrosive nature of the three primary darkroom chemicals: the base developing agent, acetic stop bath, and hypo fixer.
Crafted from durable bamboo, these tongs offer the perfect balance of flexibility and firmness, allowing you to securely grasp and handle wet prints without damaging their delicate surfaces. The rubberized, color-coded tips not only prevent scratches and marks but also help maintain a contamination-free environment, ensuring the purity of your prints.
These versatile and ergonomic tongs are more than just a tool; they are a testament to the timeless art of photo processing. Whether you're a seasoned professional or a beginner, Adorama's Bamboo Print Processing Tongs are an affordable and eco-friendly choice that upholds the tradition of darkroom photography while meeting the demands of modern-day photo labs.
