Probably the best value or there for metal canister tops. Adorama gets the kudos from me for supporting film shooters with the supposed death of film. Many of the eBay stainless steel tanks out there have metal caps that leak terribly. The pvs/plastic caps like these are a great option. It didn't leak a single drop after several developments.

I ordered this as a replacement for a very old tank. Looks identical to the original and it should last for years.

I have a ton of these to cover my stainless steel tanks. allows for easier opening, sealing better than those pesky stainless steel lids and keeps photo chemicals from leaking while I develop film. Couldn?t do my darkroom film developing as easily without these caps.

I had no idea that these black lids could lose their opacity over time. I got my tank back in college and it's 20 years old. I was getting weird fogs on my negatives and no idea where they were coming from, until one day by accident I noticed that light was shining through my old lid! The steel tank is still fine, and it was nice to be able to get a replacement lid without buying a whole new tank. It fits perfectly; nice and snug with no leaks.
