Unlike the other reviewer, I figured out where the buttons were and was able to easily make adjustments.  The front panel slides down to reveal everything you want to do.  It is great for developer temp.  I do have one that [...] right out of the box, it was giving me goofy #'s (230+ for my developer), but the other one I use has been a champ

pretty decent

This thermometer is absolutely useless. The instructions refer to buttons that are not on this product. I am unable to get it into the Farenheit mode. I definitely regret buying this worthless junk. I would love to get my money back for this piece of trash.
  You can get a better digital thermometer in the cooking section of a discount superstore for less than a fourth of the price.
