You can pay more. You can pay less. I happen to think this is priced just right when you consider the build quality and utility. The best walking-around bag I've ever had.

I bought bag in tan as a gift for my husband, and he absolutely loves it! It fits his Nikon D500 plus several lenses and accessories. He said that it's comfortable and easy to access. We may put some fabric protector on it, to keep it cleaner longer, but these bags are not meant to be kept pristine, they are meant to be used. He chose this bag because it's a classic and doesn't scream camera bag. Definitely recommend.

Another great Domke product. Easy to access equipment and roomier than would think. Keeps things simple.

I am amazed at how much gear I can carry in this bag. the layout and number of pockets suit me perfectly. I also have the bigger Domke F2, but this one usually is plenty. Be aware there is no padding, so if you slam your bag around this might not be the one for you. On the other hand, less padding means more room in a smaller bag, and that's the reason I bought it. The quality/ruggedness is very impressive. I've had mine for years, but shows no sign of wearing out. I'm sure I'll be using it for a long time to come.

Mine is the olive (O.D.) color so the name is black and unubtrusive and that's one good thing because a bag should not call attention to itself. I bought it for my Olympus E-P1 "system" that consists of the body, both the 17mm and 14-42 kit lenses as well as the Olympus 4/3 50mm F:2 Macro, the Lumix 20mm F:1.7, and a Lumix 45-200mm zoom. I've got the Olympus flash and optical viewfinder along with polarizers, caps, filters, and what all for that camera and it all packs neatly and esily into the bag. I did not like the chintzy snap for the top cover so I sewed in a carbon fiber snap buckle from a strap I had and improved the bag closer a lot. There's really no padding other than the heavy canvas between the few compartments. There does seem to be a thick cardboard padding the bottom, but I'm not sure what it is really. Overall I like it quite a bit.

I use the F-3X as my grab-all shooting bag. Most times I would have a D700 with 17-35 2.8, 50 1.4 & 70-200 2.8 in it's main compartment. A fast wide, telephoto & standard lens. On the side pocket SB800. The wide strap STAYS where I land it on my shoulder. It's an incredible bag that holds all sorts of shooting configurations tailored to what I may be shooting. No fuss, padding only on the bottom where it's really needed. Form follows function in this amazing bag. Another fantastic product from Domke.

I tried the F2 (too big) and F6 (too small) bags and this is by far the most usable bag of the three. It is small (looks even smaller than the F-6) but allows me to carry a Canon 5D with three lenses, flash and other accessories. I am sure I will find room (by stacking) for one more zoom (17-40 L). I highly recommend it.

The Domke F3X bag is almost a great bag. When you just want take along the camera and a lens or 2 this is the bag to have!! The lack of padding is the only drawback, so buy an insert to protect your camera. Having said that, I own 2 of these bags. One for my 35mm Leica R8 & one for my Mamiya 645 ProTL I own 4 Domke bags truly a classic!

Photography is mostly about capturing THE moment. Thus I love the fast draw design of Domke bags. I can get my Nikon D80 in just a couple of seconds from the draw. The Domke F3x is perfect for my daily urban shoots where I only need to carry camera (with lens mounted), and two other lenses (Tele and Ultra-wide angle), a flashgun, filters, my Spectra light flash diffuser, memory cards, batteries. The bag expands when you put in gears inside but shrinks back when a bit empty; and sort of hugs your body (instead of staying bulky) which makes for a stealth and unassuming camera bag. Water repellant canvass cloth so no worries for your gears. The Gripper strap is an engineering wonder, it won't slide from your shoulders (so no problems with hunks out there). This is the winner's bag!

A sturdy, practical bag. I like it for it's inconspicuous looks (I wish they'd omit the Domke-label so you wouldn't recognize it as a camerabag right away). It holds my SLR and two or three lenses, flash, spare batteries, a desktop-tripod and there's even room left. To make the bag even better they could add one or two small closed compartments for little thinks like memory cards, a somehow padded bottom and some optional raincover, but even without that it's still a great bag.
