Domke F-802 Reporter's Satchel Camera Bag, Canvas, Olive

I purchased this as a bag that could double for camera and as a laptop bag. To answer some questions I had before buying, it will hold a large 15 inch windows laptop on the inside compartment. With some padding/extra divider and nothing in the pockets you could fit in a mirrorless or even small dslr sideways but it will be too tight and prob not a good idea for a long term trip. You could fit compacts like GR or RX100 in the pockets. The laptop won't fit in the back pocket but an apple macbook probably will. A tablet fits the pocket easily. As a camera bag it will fit two dslr sized cameras because the canvas will expand a little plus you can let out the middle strap. I have transported a smallish Sony NXCam in the bag with padding and bubble wrap. You should get a foam board for the bottom. Weathering is ok just scotch guard it, and use a rain cover in downpours. The DOMKE F-802 Satchel is an American Made bag. In addition to utilizing it as an alternate camera bag, I have also used it as a: Computer Bad, Document Case, And as a bag used to carry some sales samples. As a camera bag, I use it in addition to a larger Camera Equipment Bag. When empty, it takes up little room in the trunk of my car. When I am out, it gives me the option to carry only what I think I need. And it does not scream " Camera Bag" The only complaint I have is that this bag came without any padded inserts and I do not understand why.

I use the Satchel as: A camera bag. A computer bag A document bag A sales sample bag. The bag is kept in my car along with a pelican case which holds my camera gear. It stores easily without taking up much room. The satchel bag is one of three DOMKE bags I utilize. When I am out in my travels and see something I would like to shoot, the satchel offers a great carry option . The satchel does not scream "CAMER BAG" The only complaint I have of the bag is that it did not come with any protective inserts. I wish that DOMKE offered it in the rugged wear.

The bag is used for photography ,Computer Bag, carrying catalogs and sample products. The bag is well made and Made in The USA. This is the first Domke Bag that did not have a padded insert in it ...Why ? I would have preferred the Rugged WEAR if it was available.

For me, this product has multiple uses; Camera Bag, Computer Scanner Bag, Sales Sample & Catalog Bag. It is made in the USA !!! I like the low profile look of the bag. Sometimes I find myself in areas which I do not want to draw attention to myself. This is the first Domke bag I've purchased without inserts, puzzling.

F-802 perfect partner for the Classic Shooters' bag in these digital times. Ideal briefcase and laptop bag, though it could do with more internal padding for laptop. Effectively creates portable office/photo editing work station for travel. Absolutely indestructible. Easy access to everything, carries files with CPU, chargers and cables. Terrific in every way.

This is a very well made, well-organized, lightweight bag. I use it as a laptop briefcase. My only complaint is that the strap is not removable, which means I will have to cut it off if I want to use a different one.

I can't sing high enough praises for this as a daily carry if you only carry light equipment (one long and one prime) and whatever else you need. A small computer, a notebook, hardrive, peripherals. I can't live without this bag, but don't thk of it as a primary photo bag. If you do, you'll be unhappy. It is the other bag you carry with your other Domke bags. I've had it four years and the strap is only beginning to fray... and that's after 20k on the motorcycle.

I use this as a professional briefcase, carrying my big PC notebook computer, pens, paper notebook, and that kind of stuff for daily trips. The look is thin, the briefcase comfortable, and is built just as tough as any Domke product. I think the 802 is a solid briefcase. There is not enough room though for my notebook computer and my Nikon DSLR. That's ok, as when I need that kind of space I go to my larger Domke case.

I like my F-803 and J-803 so much that I decided to get this bag as a briefcase. It's a little larger than I would have liked, but it is very strong and comfortable to carry. The one thing that bothers me is that the rigid support across the top of the flap (where the handle is) is made of flimsier material than on the F-803. With a heavy load in the bag, a stronger support would have been nicer. The bag (and other Domke bags) work especially well with the Billingham SP15 shoulder strap

domke, is so special for me. I like satchels. I use f-803 and now F-802. F-802 is soo cool. pratic, large and pretty. I use generaly 1 body and 2 lenses. F-802 is enough. large compartment notebook and lots of thinks.
