I got this bag to carry a Nikon D810, one lens and a flash along with miscellaneous equipment such as battery chargers, etc. It has plenty of room for my camera with a Tokina 24-70 lens on the camera, the second lens and flash, and it is easy to get into and out of. I always hate opening my bag to get a camera out, and I really like the zipper in the top so I can get the camera in and out without opening the bag. This is particularly handy when going to an event such as an art show opening where I shoot intermittently. The bag is well padded, has a hand strap and a shoulder strap that would lift a small car.

Overall I like the bag a lot. I think the build quality is very good. Time will tell about the durability. It fits my gear as advertised. I especially like the quiet tabs. I think the two metal clips which hold the bag securely closed are a little bit clumsy. They could be slightly larger for my hands. I tend to leave them unclipped when I am using the bag anyway.

This is my third camera bag so far and by far my favoriate. It is very spacious allowing me to put multiple lenses in the bag. It is made very well and I believe it will last a very long time.

OK, only in my opinion. I'm a photographer since more than 50 years. During this time I owned numerous bags. Most of them were stolen or lost. So at the moment I'm left with 14 bags, very small, small, middle, big, too big... Among them 4 Domkes, the F-2, F-6 and anything with 5, the Journalist Chronicle being the newest one and for me the best and ultimate one for 2 cameras, 5 lenses, 2 flash, a 10" tablet and a lot of accessories. IMHO this is the best one Domke ever built. I don't take the list price of 460 US$ seriously, even the market price of 280 bucks seems to be kind of weird. But I paid it and I don't regret it. The only complaint about the "Military Green/Black Trim" version is the red zippers. Hey guys, photographers usually don't look for attention of other people to stare at their camera equipment. Why then the red zippers? Next Domke version with LEDs flashing? I guess this idea was not born by the "professional photographers (who field-tested the prototype bags)" but a crazy idea of the "innovative design team". But nevertheless no reason to deduct a star.

This is a good bag for general photo outings.... easily configurable, compact, light weight & easy access. It is not for overstuffing with overflow gear that you do not need. Keep it to extra lenses, flash, and light body. Not ideal for DSLR with battery pack. Nice construction and should hold up. Strap not for heavy load (pad would help.

This bag is just the right size for my needs. Wanted a bag that can hold 3 lenses, (large, (2) mediums) camera, flash and required accessories. This bag comfortably holds that. It is a bit stiffer due to the padding compared to other Domke bags but thats a good thing. The bag is still more flexible than most bags this size. The bonus to this bag is that the width is consistent edge to edge. Many shoulder bags this style taper at the ends so your gear gets tight the last few inches in either end. Gave it 4 stars because of the plastic d rings. Received the bag on sale for a good price but do not think I would have paid original asking price. Great service and experience with Adoramo.

Some of us buy several camera bags in a quad to find the ideal bag. I take the approach of having a certain mode of use that will be common and then buy the rifht bag. Great bag for a full frame DLSR with lens plus a large zoom and a prime lens. Many pockets for flash cards, battery, lens clear supplies and filters, map etc. Strap is wide so it is comfortable to use.

This is a really well made bag, plenty of room without odd pieces to fumble around with. Nice hardware, strap, no issues whatsoever... but I still like my original Domke bags better. There is a apparently some fashionista who decides to add decorative, contrasting trim on all of these bags. To him/her... stop it! If I order a black bag, I want a black bag, or sand, or brown. The point is to be nondescript, a Domke plus for years. Same with the hardware. While this is better hardware, just give us black. Yes it will wear a bit, or brass a bit, but a Domke earns that panache. None of this detracts from the quality or basic functionality, so four stars here. I just wish they honored the tradition that is a Domke bag.

Comfortable to carry and enough room for my sony a 7rII with medium (e.g. Canon 24-70 plus adapter) sony 70-200, a flash, or smaller fixed focal length lenses (maybe 2) or 16-35 f4. Also has some pockets. I like that I will not be tempted to overload the bag as am trying to go lighter.

Needed a lot of room but wanted a 'cool' bag that did not scream please-steal-my-expensive-camera-set. Not a fan of the red but otherwise it's perfect. Had to buy 1 or 2 more inserts to fit my needs.
