Questions & Answers

KATE O : How much does this bag weigh?RICHARD S : Under a pound.ANDREW R : Not specified by the manufacturer
Angus L : Will this bag take a box of 10x8 inch large format sheet film?ANDREW R : Holds 35 rolls of 35mm film, or Three 50-sheet boxes of 4 x 5" film, or Small camera with a few rolls of film.
Shopper : what is the ISO for this bag?ISAAC G : According to the manufacturer, it has been tested up to ISO 800.ANDREW J : i took this bag on domestic flights and international ones. went through all kinds of x ray scanners, none of the security would hand search the bag they all insisted on putting through the scanners. the film i had was 800 speed fuji and the airline people assured me unless it was 1600 or above it was fine, which it ended up being ok. i took some boxes of polaroid 200 speed too and that was also fine.JOHN M : Hey look - this bag saved my film. I had to travel to four different countries in April and my 38 rolls of film which ranged from 100-3200 ISO and everything inbetween was only checked as I left Chicago. That was the last time they were hand checked. My film endured about 20 passes through the x-ray and they all came out fine. So I stand by this bag 100% - I wrote a full article about it on my blog The Photo Roll Project >> The name of the article is "Traveling Film Results" - sorry they wouldn't let me post the link on here (lame) but anyway it should explain the exact situation the film was exposed and how. I used the bag and it works. Hope this helps - Best regards, JohnRACHEL W : Whoops! I meant 160 and 400 speed film there :)RACHEL W : I use 120 and 400 speed film. The attendants/guards at the airport said it would be safe as long as it wasn't a super fast film speed. Worked like a dream for me! No light damage at all. I love it, store all of my film in it now.

Worth the money

I frequently travel overseas and this bag has ensured the quality of many rolls of 120 and 4x5 sheet film. Standard rugged Domke construction. I own two already and would buy another.

The best I ever used

I would never leave without it. My films went into a lot of X-Rays machines in countries not so careful about films. No fogging traces whatsoever! It is very well made and durable. The good part is that you do not have to argue with officials to bypass the X-Rays machines.
