I was just given this set from a friend, It was brand new and never used. I read the few reviews I could find and was really nervous about them. HOWEVER, once I got them and used them, I realized that I need to do a manual white balance. After doing so, I saw an IMMEDIATE difference in my shots.My biggest problem is that the heads can't be used on any other stand. I need to have them altered for the. Other than that, I'm happy....

I have been using the Twinkle(s) since the day they were introduced. I use them everyday for location work. They are light to carry (I use two kits) and quick to setup and take down. Best of all the work with all the Dynalite and Comet light shaping reflectors ect. Shooting digital color temperature is no a problem. The units recycle fast and reliable even at full power. The units will automaticly shut down if you shoot to fast as to protect the unit. Which if you have a problem with a sync cord shorting out or radio interference that would cause to unit to fire to fast they shut down so they won't over heat. The power output adjustments are incredible 1/10 stops. Using a silver umberella at three quarters power useinf a ASA 100 14-16 feet away from your subject you can shoot at F16 easy. these units are best used with umbrellas. They are the prefect tool for location work.

These lights have purplish/magenta color cast. The camera store I bought them from even did their own test in their store and got the same results. Every picture must be color corrected. I called Dyna-Lite and they took a message and did not call me back. I would not recommend these lights.
