This was a birthday gift for my daughter and the first thing that came out of her mouth is that she loved it and this is exactly what she wanted. loves the ball head for portrait shots and the hight is perfect for her. thank you for pleasing my daughter.

This is the first tripod I've bought and I'm not necessarily planning on using it for anything with paying clients. Since I wasn't looking for it to be something stellar, I'm OK with that fact that this is just an OK tripod. Maybe my expectations are off? One of the legs sticks, so I have to really yank on it to get it to come out. It's not a huge deal - just kinda annoying. When my camera is horizontal on the tripod, it feels sturdy and safe, but when I turn it vertical, I still have to hold it up with my hand so my camera will stay at the correct angle (I wasn't even using a huge lens - just a 16-35). I may not be doing something correctly, but I feel it defeats the purpose of a tripod if I still have to hold my camera so it doesn't fall. Overall, I'd still recommend this for the price and especially to someone who is just starting out, but if you're already know what you're doing and you need a solid tripod, I'd probably recommend looking for something in a higher price range that will keep your camera safe! Not related to the product, but still a necessary plug: As always, Adorama has great customer service and I received my order in the perfect amount of time, so I'll always come to them when I can for my gear!

This tripod is a high quality tripod in my opinion. It is very stable and should stand up quite well to very hard everyday use. The price of this tripod on Adorama can't be beat or matched by anyone for a tripod of similar quality and features.

I bought this tripod to replace a cheaper aluminum one. I love the ball head on it and it is sturdier than my old one. I would recommend this tripod for those that are looking for one but don't want to spend the big bucks.

I bought this to hold a Canon 6D Mk II, it’s advertised as a 15.4 lbs tripod however, the paperwork that came with it rate it at 13 lbs. This isn’t an issue for me as I went way beyond the 1.5x weight of my camera, but it should be noted. Otherwise, this tripod would get a 5 star. I haven’t had a single issue with it and it does exactly what I expected.

Waste of money. The ballhead is always moving no matter the different ways I try to tighten it. The legs are always collapsing. I am totally unable to use it.

I am happy with this tripod so far. I attach a 5lb. sandbag for extra stability and my photos are sharp. I will upgrade eventually, but for the price, the quality is exceptional.

I use this primarily as wide angle camera stand for video work. No panning or tilting, just stand. It is portable, lightweight and supports my cameras well.

The tripod is a good value and has the right features I need. I am not using it as a conventional tripod, but converting it as an alternative to a cheap light stand. this way i can compensate for uneven ground surface on locations for lightweight setups. It works well for that.

I picked this up because I am getting into low light photography and needed a good tripod. I was a little nervous about this one because of the low price. I found out that I had nothing to worry about. Very stable and easy to set up. You will not be disappointed with this tripod.

I highly recommend this product because it can withstand any climate surface and still have a sturdy position on the tripod. This tripod has a wide variety of different levels and allows you to get the camera into almost any position you can think of. Overall I highly recommend this tripod because there is nothing out there similar to the quality provided for the price of this tripod.

I purchased two of these for a recent photography trip. When I got ready to use both of them, one worked perfectly, but the other had some shake in the quick release plate even when everything was tightened down. I contacted Dolica customer service. I received a form e-mail response back with no suggestions on how to repair and just some questions for a warranty claim. When I asked a specific question regarding a possible way to repair it myself, the response was that they don't know anything about the product specifics since the product is made in China. Fortunately, I figured out on my own that I could get an allen wrench and tighten the bolt in the center of the quick release plate. Problem solved, no thanks to Dolica customer service. This tripod is very sturdy, even with my Nikon D7100 and using a 200-500mm lens. I recommend this tripod, but good luck if you end up needed support from Dolica.

For the price I thought I was just going to get a cheap, flimsy tripod. I was pleasantly surprised by how well this tripod is built. It looks and feels a lot more expensive than it is. The legs extend smoothly and the locks hold them firmly in position and the ball head has no problems holding my DSLR with a very hefty all-metal 70-210 f/4 lens steady. It is pretty tall at 68 inches, so it does need a lot of space to spread the legs out for maximum stability when at full height. Overall, I'm happy with this purchase so far.

This tripod will do the job well, but the legs seem to lack the kind of precision you would expect when sliding the legs in and out. Since this is not an expensive tripod, it still may be considered a good value.

This tripod is very lightweight but is able to securly hold my Nikon D5100, a 2x teleconverter and my old Nikon 135mm lens with a battery pack loaded. That is a heavy combination! The carrying bag is nice and has a strap that goes over the sholder. Construction is of high quality and is easily adjusted to my needs. There is a small pocket inside for the allen wrench which is included. The ball head is rather small but very smooth. There is a compass and levels on the frame. An excellent buy!

Well I so very much like this Tripod! Very well made, sturdy, and very light! Only being just over 5 feet tall this is a champ for me in the weight department! I will need to toss this info out there about the "max operating load" one the sight it classes it as 15 lbs. .... but on the paper that came with it, is says 13 lbs. So just a heads up for you all if you are looking into the weight it can hold! Still worth it though!

This is a nice light but stable and sturdy tripod. Easily adjustable with a ball head and adjustable to about 5.5 feet. Very nice for the price.
