I'm trying to determine whether the one I bought has an unoriginal part (it seems to fit but a little too tightly in the space. Just wondering if they released new ones without cork.BERNARD B : I bought my head about a year ago and it came with a rubber friction pad. Wobbly quick release plate.

I bought this to replace a lost quick release plate that was stolen from my tripod. I used this tripod with an Olympus EVolt 500 and found it really good. Now, using my new Olympus OM-D EM10 Mark II, the quick release plate is wobbly. I tried it with the new ball head and with my old one and can't get it to firmly stay without wobbling. I shoot a lot of moon photography with an 80-200 mm lens but I can't lock on a position because of the quick release plate not staying firm. I don't know if I got a bad copy or what, but I really don't like this piece at all.

I really like this ball head, easy to use and it is strong enough to hold my telephoto lens without any problems. The price is affordable.

Easy Head Replacment

I throw my gear around a lot and the lever on the side of this fell off somewhere. I was happy to discover I could replace just the head for ($) rather than buy a new tripod. It screwed right on and I was back in business.

The Dolica B100 Professional Single Lever Ball Head is a classic design ball head that utilizes a simple one lever design to lock both pan and tilt. It's one of the lightest ball heads on the market weighing only 0.5lbs and can carry a camera load of up to 13.2lbs. It has upgraded features such as bubble level and anti-quick release slip lock.
