The problem is the vendor (Dolica) not this item
This plate seems fine, but it doesn't quite fit my Dolica tripod, which tripod doesn't have any product number on it so I had to guess which plate would fil by looking at pictures. This half-way fits, so it's almost good enough for some positions.. I have sent pictures of the tripod to Dolica twice asking them to help me find the right plate, and they never do, thoiugh they keep promising. I like the tripod but this is the worst customer service I could imagine, and could never recommend Dolica again to anyone.

Excellent professional Ballhead
I bought this as a replacement for the B100, wich is a cheaper model. For the price the B300 is an excellent choice, with quick release plate, the two knobs for better control, bubble level. It feels sturdy and well constructed.

quick release
purchased as a second option for a second camera, thus it allows me to keep both ready to mount on the tripod at any time.

Just what I needed
I have 2 cameras and have often grabbed the one without the plate, not being able to use my tripod as a result. I bought this so I could have one on each camera and not have to switch back and forth.
I love that it has a double locking system so that I don't drop the camera while putting it on or removing it. I also like that it is adjustable (sliding back and forth or side to side as needed.) The tightening screw is large enough that I don't feel I need pliers to attach it to the camera. It also feels very secure to the camera. I can't think of anything I don't like about it. All in all, I'm very pleased with my purchase.
