This variation can be used as a soft reflector, but it is usually employed as a soft diffuser to enlarge the light source considerably. Shadows become gentler, with subtle transitions.
Dedoflex reflectors and diffusers come in a flat zippered pouch only 4" (10 cm) in diameter. Once removed, they automatically unfold to 12" (30 cm), held by a robust spring-steel rim. They can be hand held or mounted on the Dedolight head with a specially developed holder.
