Good basic overview of the 5d Mark ii. It is a little dated, but this camera has been around for a while. The information is good, but it's a bit a slow and "plastic" in its delivery. Would probably have been beneficial for Blue Crane to update the DVD in 2011 with talks of the Mark iii on its way and the volume of Mark iis that have been purchased as a result. I would recommend the video as a precursor to reading the 5d manual.

Decent overview

The video has great, detailed explanations for the basic functions of the camera's many operations.   The Canon 5D MarkII has way more funtions than most people will ever use.   This video is good for getting the different funtions demonstrated for easier comprehension and future use.  Unfortunately, it does assume you know how to get to different screens and make them appear as they show.   That is the one drawback.   If it better showed how it got those few screens to appear, when they demonstrate their use, it would be better.  I still can't get one screen to go away on one of my settings when I move the dial to it.  But other than that minor gripe, it is well thought out and goes through the basic functions very well.   Enjoy the video.

Lots of info, take your time to absorb.

This DVD is easy/fun to watch and has clear simple to understand audio track and overall well presented instructional material for the Canon 5D camera, and a must to have for any user of the Canon 5d mark2 to supplement the printed instruction manual.
