I received this label maker as a christmas gift. I like the printer but I never can get the back of the label off. Very frustrating. I tried using tape to pull the backing form the label but I couldn't get that to work either. I went back to using tape and a sharpie. Lot less frustrating.

Hate to say this blows the doors off the Labelmanager PnP on relablity. Plus it's more portable too. So I can take it with me anywhere I need labels printed.

What a joke... you go through all these contortions to load the software first then REBOOT your machine only to have it load the wrong Printer.... and there's no way to change it in the software. What waste of money

This thing should have been designed to work when plugged in. Or work with AA batteries. Once the battery went bad the label maker is useless. The replacement battery is expensive so I'll probably just buy a different label maker and make sure it does not have this issue.

Yeah. I need one more thing that has to be charged. How about just some AA batteries? Where is my charger, anyway? I know it's with all my left socks!

Heard many good things about this product and decided to buy it to be more organized. Sadly it DOES NOT WORK. I installed the battery and connected it to charge. When I pressed the power button, it would not turn on -- completely dead. I received a defective product and am very disappointed.

I bought this because I thought it would be fun to have but in the back of my mind I was kind of expecting I would bore easy of it the way many do when buying something like this. However this little gadget is awesome. It's super easy to change out the ribbon so I can jump between colors (bought a combo pack of labels with it so easy that I am not limited in style. I researched various brands of label makers to be sure I got the best quality. This brand had the highest ratings. One of the things people focused on besides the variety of fonts since you can hook it up to your pc and use any font you want was that this brand wasted the least amount of Label. It leaves about a half an inch on either side of the writing. The only part that is a little annoying is the extra steps you have to take to even add a period let alone other symbols (which they do give you a very decent variety to choose from) If they made it easier to use punctuation It would be a perfect gadget

Some things are not worth saying as they are what they are. This device is an absolute gem. I've purchased two of them: for work and home. I will be getting one for my kid to keep him away from mine!

The product worked well for me. Experienced non of the problems reported by other reviewers. Used with a Mac running OS X 10.10.5.

I wish that it could charge from USB instead of only from the charger. A backlight would be handy. I bought on sale so the price was very reasonable.

From unboxing, included tape would not feed and is not recognized by my PC. All the troubleshooting is old and only makes sense if the computer sees the device. After wasting a morning taking it back. There is a reason it was on sale.

I just received the Labelmanager and found it very useful. Anyone who has experience using a computer can certainly navigate the software or printer controls.

used other brand before, both work great, I like the rechargeable battery feature, works as advertised, no issues, software downloaded and installed without any issues to my Win7Pro machine

I have had no problems with this labeler. Instructions for use without a computer could be better, but the unit is pretty intuitive. Tape is easy to apply, rechargeable battery and no AC makes the unit small, portable and easy to use.

Very easy to use, have no problem to download the software from Dymo website. Also, we can use any font from PC and Mac, and even can type in a different language. The label looks clean and has no printing jam at all. Highly recommended!

Device works- it prints labels. The label tape does not exit the device rather it rolls it self up inside the device, wasting tape. The recommended software will not download to my Windows 7 computer.

Can't install. Says extension cannot be used. No back light and screen is hard to read even with average light in room.

The Dymo LabelManager 280 Rechargeable Handheld Label Maker puts the convenience of labeling in the palm of your hand. The label maker is small enough to take with you anywhere yet still manages to pack in a QWERTY keyboard, a graphic LCD, style buttons and dedicated number keys. Choose from 6 font styles, 7 text styles and a built-in library of 220 symbols and clip-art images.
Additionally, you can use the included Dymo Label Software for Windows and Mac for even more customization options such as adding your own images to any label. The label maker can print up to 10 copies at a time for easy high-volume printing. Have specific labels you print often? Save them in the label maker's 9-label memory, so you can easily reprint them at any time. The included rechargeable battery removes the hassle and expense of disposable batteries (charger included).
