Lots of sounds packed in this double box. Just started exploring it. You cab go with the octave up for some great Hendrix sounds, or use one side for a less fuzzy tone and the other for all out screaming sustain. It will hold a note as long as you want to hold it! Both sides together and all hell brakes loose, it's all in there, from 60's, 70's, modern, all of it. So far I tried it with a few amps. Hiwatt 100 watt, Marshall jmp, small Badcat mini, even the little Fender champ 600. Sounds good cranked up or late at night with the fuzz turnded up and the volume down for lots of note bending sustain at low volume. So far so good. Be warned, it has a ton of output, feels like it would drive a speaker on it's own. I have not even went passed noon on the output and it will drive the hell out of any front end. 12ax7's get ready to burn! Only strats so far, what will a humbucker do!? Great deal from Adorama! Thank you.

Hoof Reaper plays nice with tubes and strats. Sustain till you're sick of it.

For musicians seeking to recreate the iconic sounds of the 60s and 70s or explore modern tones, the Hoof Reaper V2 Double Fuzz Pedal with Octave Up is a versatile and powerful tool. This pedal combines the best features of our popular Hoof and Tone Reaper fuzz pedals, along with an old-school analog octave up, offering a wide range of tonal possibilities.
The Hoof Reaper V2 is a germanium/silicon hybrid Muff-style fuzz pedal, known for its warm, gritty overdrive and massive, smooth amp-like sustain. Its unique shift control alters the frequency response of the tone control, allowing for a tighter, cleaner sound that cuts through in a band setting.
The Tone Reaper component of the pedal is a vintage-style fuzz device based on the "3 knob" bender. It's a silicon/germanium hybrid capable of producing a wide range of tones, from thin and spitty to thick, growling sustain, all with careful tweaking of the Tone and Fuzz controls.
Adding to the versatility of this pedal is the classic monophonic octave up feature. This adds a swelling octave to the fuzz tone, with the effect being more pronounced when using the neck pickup and playing above the 12th fret.
The Hoof Reaper V2 also features Flexi-Switch Technology, a relay-based, true bypass switching style that allows for both momentary and latching style switching. This gives musicians the flexibility to activate the effect with a single tap of the footswitch, or hold it down for as long as they want the effect to last.
The Hoof Reaper V2 Double Fuzz Pedal with Octave Up is powered by a standard 9 volt DC power supply with a 2.1mm negative center barrel. For optimum performance and to minimize unwanted noise, we recommend using pedal-specific, transformer-isolated wall-wart power supplies or multiple isolated-output supplies.
Whether you're a seasoned professional or just starting to explore the world of guitar effects, the Hoof Reaper V2 Double Fuzz Pedal with Octave Up offers a world of tonal possibilities, from subtle octave-up overtones to crushing octave squalls. Experience the versatility and power of this pedal and unleash your creative potential.
