The core of the Rainbow Machine is its DSP pitch-warping engine, designed to be slightly imperfect and colored with digital remnants of cosmic dust. The Pitch control allows you to adjust the frequency of the polyphonic pitch-warped harmony from a fourth below your input to a third above, and every atonal pitch in-between. The Primary function control adjusts the volume of the polyphonic harmony, while the Tracking control adjusts the lag time between the wet and dry signals. The Tone control allows you to roll off some treble for a darker, vintage sound, or brighten it up with a clockwise turn. The Secondary control adds an octave of the Primary harmony, creating a blend of faux-shimmer sounds or a low-frequency rumble. The Magic control is where things get really interesting.
