COMSTAR XT Series full duplex is designed specifically for teams that need to communicate and work with their hands. These revolutionary intercoms are not voice activated and there is no delay when transmitting. The system allows users up to eight wireless users to talk simultaneously just like on a telephone within an 800 yard range. At the heart of each COMSTAR system is a signal relay called the Com-Center. This centralized base transceiver is both AC powered and battery powered for on-location use and is totally profitable. The COMSTAR XT Full Duplex Wireless Intercom System is a fully-functional wireless intercom that offers full duplex communication in a simple design that does not require the use of beltpacks. Lightweight headsets with beltpacks may also be used. The system consists of a Com-Center base station and up to 8 wireless headsets. These components create a wireless network of up to 8 users who can all communicate simultaneously with no delay or voice activation, ideal for applications where teams need full use of their hands. You can even split users into 2 groups of 4 people or bring everyone together in conference mode.

Each headset connects wirelessly to the Com-Center at distances of up to 400 yards in any direction, allowing the headsets to be up to 800 yards apart while still enjoying full communication capabilities. The COMSTAR All-In-One headsets feature around-ear cushions and padded headbands provide lasting comfort for all-day use. Integrated controls make it easy to adjust the volume of the headsets and program them in the field. Lightweight headsets with COMPAK beltpacks may also be used. The COMSTAR system is self tuning, so no remote antenna is needed.

Each COMSTAR All-In-One headset has a microphone at the end of a position able boom, allowing you to place the mic in the best spot for excellent vocal pickup. A foam windscreen reduces the effects of wind noise and breath pops for ultimate clarity. The headsets have rechargeable lithium batteries that provide up to 10 hours of operation, while the Com-Center has a rechargeable NiMH battery that provides up to 6 hours of operation. The Com-Center also has an AC wall plug and a battery sled for disposable AA batteries to give you additional powering options. A multi-port desktop charger is included that allows you to charge the Com-Center and headset batteries simultaneously. The system works in the 1900MHz frequency band, which is reserved by the FCC for "PCS" voice communication, so no license is required. The system is certified for use in the USA, Canada, Europe and Australia.
