After having a lens "slip" (ouch), I like having this extra protection. The front rubber does not allow you to use your lens hood but it works great when shooting through glass.
The 77mm Lens Rim from easyCover is designed to absorb shocks and impacts along key areas of a camera lens. The Lens Rim consists of two silicone parts, a Lens Ring and a Lens Bumper. The Lens Ring is flexible and can securely fit over almost any lens barrel to provide an elevated surface that helps prevent damage along the sides of a lens. The Lens Bumper protects the front of a lens and is specifically designed to fit over lenses with a 77mm filter diameter.
