When you've reached a level where the output needs to be consistant you do need an excellent monitor and this one is both excellent and expensive. But the design of the monitor and built on hood in addition to the quality makes it almost worth the cost. Many of the industry leaders recommend this brand. The colors are clear and not blown out.

Calibration is easy and stays accurate for a longer period than all other monitors I,ve had. (including older Eizos)

I use this as my color critical monitor for photo color correction. I have no complaints about anything so far. I especially like the built-in color correction software that is compatible with eye-one calibrators. The across screen color stability is also extremely useful when it comes to creating and reducing vignettes. I have had solid color management success as well when printing to my epson 9880 and R1800.
