Worked for 31 days and died. Now, its w 2-3 week turn around. I am not sure if this product is up to professional use.

Wow drool...

Easy to set up, use and control lights from ipad/iphione. RX and the new ELC lights. Dont forget to pick up the inexpensive USB wireless. You'll get firmware updates for your new devices. Elinchrom is getting modern. While I've had no problems, their skyport series does feel flimsy. Slide switches are WAY TOO EASY to bump and accidentily move. Thats my only issue. Just need to be cautious. If they would only design a switch with stronger mechanical Clicks instead of the weak existing sliders. With the ELC HD Pro1000 for an outside beach shoot, only had one failure to fire. Was probably me - or - the flimsy non-positive feeling slider switches... Hey Elinchrom. How about a robust white marker on the slider and a stronger clicking slider. These can be laser etched on the units on the factory line. Or a glow in the dark markers for switch position and groups. That's good for low-light shooting. I've done it myself with white nail polish. Gonna buy another one of these and another USB Skyport as backup since I'll be using these forever.

About Elinchrom EL-Skyport Wi-Fi Module

The Elinchrom EL-Skyport Wi-Fi Module gives you the opportunity to expand the capabilities of the iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch to include remote triggering of your Elinchrom RX series flash equipment. The module features 8 channels and runs on a Li-ion battery that fully charges in 3 hours and lasts for 10 hours of use. Its 40-bit security ensures interference-free Wi-Fi operation at distances up to 164 ft outdoors and 65.6 ft indoors.

The module can also be used as a non-Wi-Fi EL-Skyport radio transceiver at distances up to 328 ft outdoors and 131 ft indoors. The EL- Skyport Wi-Fi Module comes with a set of adapters and cords that enable connection to your RX flash gear.
