Poorly made and overpriced

Eh. This product is just ok for the price. Not super well made. The black part doesn’t go on that well and doesn’t fold up easily with the black part on. This is a design flaw. Best feature, if you can call it that, is that the stem is 7mm, which makes it fit Elinchroms flawed lighting design of only accepting umbrellas with this size stem. Nonsense if you ask me. So, these are blah and overpriced and only positive feature is that they fit Elinchrom proprietary system. Which sucks.

The product works as it should and fits my Elinchrom strobe as it should. Seems sturdy.

The shallow white umbrella with its highly reflective cover is often chosen for its slightly warmer tones and softer shadow transition. When the reflective cover is removed this converts into a translucent umbrella offering a choice between shoot-through and reflected use. The difference between the two can easily be seen in the catch-light of any reflective surface. The 105cm offers a softer result with a larger catch-light in any reflective surface.

For Quadra, ELB 400/500 heads, we recommend using the Q-Reflector Adapter MK-II for umbrella sizes bigger than 85cm to avoid any risk of damage.
