This multi-band base and rover system is equipped with an IMU-based tilt compensation, allowing for accurate measurements with tilt angles up to 60 degrees while maintaining an impressive accuracy within 20 mm. The Reach RS3 continuously measures and corrects tilt in real-time, ensuring you remain on target without the need to check the bubble, thus speeding up survey and stakeout processes.
The Reach RS3 is designed for effortless and robust performance, with calibration-free IMU sensors individually calibrated at the factory, allowing for immediate deployment. Its sensors are immune to magnetic disturbances, providing reliable tilt compensation even near metal structures. Quick initialization is a hallmark of the Reach RS3, requiring only about 20 meters of walking or 10-20 seconds of tilting, often ready by the time you reach your survey site from the car.
This rapid and reliable GNSS receiver achieves centimeter-accurate solutions in approximately 5 seconds, maintaining robust performance even with partial sky obstruction or when tilted. It supports a wide range of satellite systems, including GPS/QZSS, GLONASS, BeiDou, and Galileo, and offers RINEX logging and PPP support. With a built-in LTE modem, the Reach RS3 can receive corrections from CORS, Reach, or third-party base NTRIP, making it versatile for RTK operations with VRS or single baseline CORS networks.
The Reach RS3 is compatible with any receiver supporting RTCM3 and features dual-band radio capabilities with LoRa 868/915 MHz for base and rover operations, ideal for areas lacking internet coverage. It also supports UHF 450 MHz for rover configurations, allowing integration with existing base stations and high-power external radios.
Accompanied by comprehensive software solutions, the Reach RS3 includes Emlid Flow for efficient field management, covering tasks like receiver configuration, RINEX logging, data collection, and stakeout. Emlid Flow 360 offers cloud-based access to survey data, enabling project management and export from a browser. Emlid Studio enhances data processing with features like WMS/WMTS layers, satellite maps, and custom survey code libraries.
